Wine, Wanderlust and Friendship in France
In July, Singles Travel International ‘s group of adventurous singles embarked on a trip of a lifetime in France! Our adventure started in Paris, where the city’s timeless romance set the stage for new friendships and unforgettable experiences. We marveled at the majestic Notre Dame Cathedral and wandered the halls of the Musée d’Orsay, absorbing the masterpieces of impressionism. Some of us capped these Parisian days with a gourmet dinner cruise along the Seine, the bateaux mouche gliding under illuminated bridges, while the city’s lights shimmered on the water and a carefully curated French menu delighted our palates.

Leaving Paris, our group took the TGV south to Bordeaux, where we boarded the beautiful Avalon Artistry II. The Garonne and Dordogne rivers shape the rolling landscape of vineyards and châteaux. Each day brought a new taste of Bordeaux’s spirit: private wine tastings in stately chateaux, where vintners shared their secrets of winemaking. We cycled beneath sun-dappled skies through vineyards, the rhythm of our wheels echoing laughter and stories. Evenings were made for leisurely walks in riverside towns and even through a citadel in Blaye.

No French journey would be complete without its signature flavors, and our cruise was a feast for the senses. We sampled creamy cheeses and platters of oysters freshly harvested from the Atlantic, their briny sweetness the perfect companion to a glass of crisp white Bordeaux. Every meal, every toast, every shared sunset deepened our connection—not just to the landscape, but to each other. Singles Travel International delivered more than a trip; it gave us memories infused with the beauty of France and the warmth of newfound friends.
