Passport Requirements

Valid Passport – U.S. & Canadian Citizens
All guests must travel with a valid passport for the full duration of their vacation in London and on the cruise, with at least one blank page for entry stamps. It is advisable to carry your passport with you at all times during your stay, as it may be required for identification, hotel check-in, boarding sightseeing tours, or processing tax‑refunds at certain shops and venues.

ETA Requirements (UK Electronic Travel Authorization)

UK ETA – Requirement, Cost & How to Apply
U.S. and Canadian citizens visiting London for short stays (up to 6 months) must obtain an approved UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in addition to their passport. Apply online via the official UK Government site at https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply or through the “UK ETA” mobile app, pay the £20 fee by card or digital wallet, upload your passport details and photo, answer the security questions, and submit. Most decisions are returned within minutes to a few days, but the UK advises applying at least 3 working days before travel; for added peace of mind, we recommend .applying 2–3 weeks before departure so your ETA is approved and electronically linked to your passport well before you fly

A deposit is due at time of reservation, and final payment is due on January 13, 2027.

If you make a reservation after January 13, 2027, full payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.

All cancellations must be made in writing to Singles Travel International at service@singlestravelintl.com and are subject to per person penalties as follows:

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to January 13, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After January 13, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.

When the cruise is canceled by the cruise line, you will generally be offered the option to move your reservation to another date without penalty, often with a perk. All changes are subject to current terms and conditions at the time of cancellation. Your team at Singles Travel International will advocate for you in all cases.

Singles Travel International commits to keep members informed about the health and safety policies of our partner vendors. However, each traveler is ultimately responsible for their own health and well-being when deciding to travel. By booking a trip with us, you agree to sign a Fit & Willing to Travel Commitment, Participant Conduct, and Waiver as part of your registration. This commitment confirms your agreement to comply with all applicable local laws and follow the instructions of our tour leaders concerning health, safety measures and appropriate behaviors to ensure a respectful and secure environment for all travelers.

Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand the risks and that you do not have any medical, mobility, or other conditions that would make it unsafe for you to participate in the itinerary as described, or that would reasonably be expected to require special personal assistance that Singles Travel International does not provide.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotel in London.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. Prices range from $137 (3 Meals) to $201 (5 Meals) per person (subject to change at any time), plus gratuities. Specific surcharges may apply for certain restaurants and tasting menus.

Step 2: In London, sign up for specialty dinners reservations when checking in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at our Welcome Event in the pre cruise hotel. Signing up early ensures that you have the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

What weather to expect in Scandinavia in May?

This May 15–28, 2027 Scandinavia itinerary visits Southampton, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Stockholm, Visby, Oslo, and Kristiansand. Expect classic Northern European spring conditions: comfortably cool days, chilly evenings, changeable skies, and occasional rain—so layers and a waterproof outer layer are ideal.

Southampton, England: Expect mild but changeable late-spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 61°F and nighttime lows near 46°F. A light sweater and rain jacket are recommended for embarkation and disembarkation days.

Copenhagen, Denmark: Copenhagen is pleasantly cool in May, averaging about 60°F by day and 45°F at night. Days may alternate between sunshine, clouds, and light showers, making comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing essential.

Helsinki, Finland: Helsinki remains crisp in May, with average temperatures near 60°F during the day and 41°F overnight. Long daylight hours are ideal for sightseeing, though breezes near the waterfront can make it feel cooler.

Tallinn, Estonia: Tallinn is typically cool and fresh, averaging 59°F in the daytime and 41°F at night. Guests should plan for possible showers and wear layers for walking through the historic old town.

Stockholm, Sweden: Stockholm enjoys mild spring days averaging 60°F, with evenings around 43°F. Conditions can be sunny but variable, and the city’s waterways may add a cool breeze.

Visby, Sweden: On Gotland Island, Visby is generally cool, breezy, and maritime in late May, with average daytime temperatures around 58°F and nights near 43°F. A wind-resistant jacket is particularly useful for exploring the medieval town walls and waterfront.

Oslo, Norway: Oslo typically sees pleasant but cool spring weather, with average highs near 60°F and lows around 44°F. Rain is possible, but mild daytime conditions are well suited to city walks and outdoor excursions.

Kristiansand, Norway: Kristiansand is often mild for southern Norway, with average daytime temperatures around 59°F and nighttime lows near 45°F. Expect variable coastal weather, including sun, clouds, and the possibility of a passing shower.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack 3 main colors and accessories. Opt for bright, cheerful colors to blend in more easily with local fashion in the Caribbean and on a luxury cruise ship with exotic nights.

Evenings Aboard Apex:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • All members are encouraged to embrace the fun and dress up for these special nights. Going all out not only creates fantastic photo opportunities but also allows you to unwind and express yourself in any way you choose!

Currency Summary

This 13-night Celebrity Apex itinerary includes ports in England, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Norway. Southampton uses the British pound (GBP); Copenhagen uses the Danish krone (DKK); Helsinki and Tallinn use the euro (EUR); Stockholm and Visby use the Swedish krona (SEK); and Oslo and Kristiansand use the Norwegian krone (NOK).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as card and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout Scandinavia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet. Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for public transportation, small vendors, restrooms, or unexpected situations; U.S. dollars should no to be relied upon for everyday purchases in these ports.

Because the itinerary includes several currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each port, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses. Onboard purchases, such as specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services, and shore excursions, are charged to your Celebrity onboard account, so link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Onboard the ship, your credit card will be accepted to settle your bill onboard the ship, as well as in major shops and restaurants ashore. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account.

At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

INSURANCE Travel insurance is not mandatory for this program; however, based on our experience, we strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel protection to help safeguard their trip investment and cover unexpected events (such as medical emergencies, evacuation, trip interruption or cancellation, and lost or delayed baggage). Passport Requirements

Valid Passport – U.S. & Canadian Citizens
All guests must travel with a valid passport for the full duration of their vacation in London and on the cruise, with at least one blank page for entry stamps. It is advisable to carry your passport with you at all times during your stay, as it may be required for identification, hotel check-in, boarding sightseeing tours, or processing tax‑refunds at certain shops and venues.

ETA Requirements (UK Electronic Travel Authorization)

UK ETA – Requirement, Cost & How to Apply
U.S. and Canadian citizens visiting London for short stays (up to 6 months) must obtain an approved UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in addition to their passport. Apply online via the official UK Government site at https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply or through the “UK ETA” mobile app, pay the £20 fee by card or digital wallet, upload your passport details and photo, answer the security questions, and submit. Most decisions are returned within minutes to a few days, but the UK advises applying at least 3 working days before travel; for added peace of mind, we recommend .applying 2–3 weeks before departure so your ETA is approved and electronically linked to your passport well before you fly

A deposit is due at time of reservation, and final payment is due on January 13, 2027.

If you make a reservation after January 13, 2027, full payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to January 13, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After January 13, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.

When the cruise is canceled by the cruise line, you will generally be offered the option to move your reservation to another date without penalty, often with a perk. All changes are subject to current terms and conditions at the time of cancellation. Your team at Singles Travel International will advocate for you in all cases.

By booking a trip with us, you agree to sign a Fit & Willing to Travel Commitment, Participant Conduct, and Waiver as part of your registration. This commitment confirms your agreement to comply with all applicable local laws and follow the instructions of our tour leaders concerning health, safety measures and appropriate behaviors to ensure a respectful and secure environment for all travelers.

Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand the risks and that you do not have any medical, mobility, or other conditions that would make it unsafe for you to participate in the itinerary as described, or that would reasonably be expected to require special personal assistance that Singles Travel International does not provide.

If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. Our vacations cater to singles in their 50s, 60s and 70s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 50-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotel in London.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. Prices range from $137 (3 Meals) to $201 (5 Meals) per person (subject to change at any time), plus gratuities. Specific surcharges may apply for certain restaurants and tasting menus.

Step 2: In London, sign up for specialty dinners reservations when checking in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at our Welcome Event in the pre cruise hotel. Signing up early ensures that you have the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

Note: Reservations are not associated with any payment. Once onboard, you will need to pay using your Specialty Dining Package or pay as you go according to the cruise line’s terms.  Magic Carpet has its own set of reservation terms and may only be reserved once onboard, weather permitting.

Expect classic Northern European spring conditions: comfortably cool days, chilly evenings, changeable skies, and occasional rain—so layers and a waterproof outer layer are ideal.

Southampton, England: Expect mild but changeable late-spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 61°F and nighttime lows near 46°F. A light sweater and rain jacket are recommended for embarkation and disembarkation days.

Copenhagen, Denmark: Copenhagen is pleasantly cool in May, averaging about 60°F by day and 45°F at night. Days may alternate between sunshine, clouds, and light showers, making comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing essential.

Helsinki, Finland: Helsinki remains crisp in May, with average temperatures near 60°F during the day and 41°F overnight. Long daylight hours are ideal for sightseeing, though breezes near the waterfront can make it feel cooler.

Tallinn, Estonia: Tallinn is typically cool and fresh, averaging 59°F in the daytime and 41°F at night. Guests should plan for possible showers and wear layers for walking through the historic old town.

Evening Chic Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

Currency Summary

This 13-night Celebrity Apex itinerary includes ports in England, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Norway. Southampton uses the British pound (GBP); Copenhagen uses the Danish krone (DKK); Helsinki and Tallinn use the euro (EUR); Stockholm and Visby use the Swedish krona (SEK); and Oslo and Kristiansand use the Norwegian krone (NOK).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as card and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout Scandinavia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet. Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for public transportation, small vendors, restrooms, or unexpected situations; U.S. dollars should no to be relied upon for everyday purchases in these ports.

Because the itinerary includes several currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each port, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses. Onboard purchases, such as specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services, and shore excursions, are charged to your Celebrity onboard account, so link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Onboard the ship, your credit card will be accepted to settle your bill onboard the ship, as well as in major shops and restaurants ashore. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account.

At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

All guests must travel with a valid passport for the full duration of their vacation in London and on the cruise, with at least one blank page for entry stamps. It is advisable to carry your passport with you at all times during your stay, as it may be required for identification, hotel check-in, boarding sightseeing tours, or processing tax‑refunds at certain shops and venues.

ETA Requirements (UK Electronic Travel Authorization)

UK ETA – Requirement, Cost & How to Apply
U.S. and Canadian citizens visiting London for short stays (up to 6 months) must obtain an approved UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in addition to their passport. Apply online via the official UK Government site at https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply or through the “UK ETA” mobile app, pay the £20 fee by card or digital wallet, upload your passport details and photo, answer the security questions, and submit. Most decisions are returned within minutes to a few days, but the UK advises applying at least 3 working days before travel; for added peace of mind, we recommend .applying 2–3 weeks before departure so your ETA is approved and electronically linked to your passport well before you fly

A deposit is due at time of reservation, and final payment is due on January 13, 2027.

If you make a reservation after January 13, 2027, full payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to January 13, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After January 13, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.

When the cruise is canceled by the cruise line, you will generally be offered the option to move your reservation to another date without penalty, often with a perk. All changes are subject to current terms and conditions at the time of cancellation. Your team at Singles Travel International will advocate for you in all cases.

By booking a trip with us, you agree to sign a Fit & Willing to Travel Commitment, Participant Conduct, and Waiver as part of your registration. This commitment confirms your agreement to comply with all applicable local laws and follow the instructions of our tour leaders concerning health, safety measures and appropriate behaviors to ensure a respectful and secure environment for all travelers.

Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand the risks and that you do not have any medical, mobility, or other conditions that would make it unsafe for you to participate in the itinerary as described, or that would reasonably be expected to require special personal assistance that Singles Travel International does not provide.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotel in London.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

What weather to expect in Scandinavia in May?

This May 15–28, 2027 Scandinavia itinerary visits Southampton, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Stockholm, Visby, Oslo, and Kristiansand. Expect classic Northern European spring conditions: comfortably cool days, chilly evenings, changeable skies, and occasional rain—so layers and a waterproof outer layer are ideal.

Southampton, England: Expect mild but changeable late-spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 61°F and nighttime lows near 46°F. A light sweater and rain jacket are recommended for embarkation and disembarkation days.

Copenhagen, Denmark: Copenhagen is pleasantly cool in May, averaging about 60°F by day and 45°F at night. Days may alternate between sunshine, clouds, and light showers, making comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing essential.

Helsinki, Finland: Helsinki remains crisp in May, with average temperatures near 60°F during the day and 41°F overnight. Long daylight hours are ideal for sightseeing, though breezes near the waterfront can make it feel cooler.

Tallinn, Estonia: Tallinn is typically cool and fresh, averaging 59°F in the daytime and 41°F at night. Guests should plan for possible showers and wear layers for walking through the historic old town.

Kristiansand, Norway: Kristiansand is often mild for southern Norway, with average daytime temperatures around 59°F and nighttime lows near 45°F. Expect variable coastal weather, including sun, clouds, and the possibility of a passing shower.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

Evenings Aboard Apex:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

Currency Summary

This 13-night Celebrity Apex itinerary includes ports in England, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Norway. Southampton uses the British pound (GBP); Copenhagen uses the Danish krone (DKK); Helsinki and Tallinn use the euro (EUR); Stockholm and Visby use the Swedish krona (SEK); and Oslo and Kristiansand use the Norwegian krone (NOK).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as card and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout Scandinavia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet. Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for public transportation, small vendors, restrooms, or unexpected situations; U.S. dollars should no to be relied upon for everyday purchases in these ports.

Because the itinerary includes several currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each port, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses. Onboard purchases, such as specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services, and shore excursions, are charged to your Celebrity onboard account, so link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Onboard the ship, your credit card will be accepted to settle your bill onboard the ship, as well as in major shops and restaurants ashore. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account.

At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to January 13, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After January 13, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. If sharing a cabin, we recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotel in London.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. What weather to expect in Scandinavia in May?

This May 15–28, 2027 Scandinavia itinerary visits Southampton, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Stockholm, Visby, Oslo, and Kristiansand. Expect classic Northern European spring conditions: comfortably cool days, chilly evenings, changeable skies, and occasional rain—so layers and a waterproof outer layer are ideal.

Southampton, England: Expect mild but changeable late-spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 61°F and nighttime lows near 46°F. A light sweater and rain jacket are recommended for embarkation and disembarkation days.

Copenhagen, Denmark: Copenhagen is pleasantly cool in May, averaging about 60°F by day and 45°F at night. Days may alternate between sunshine, clouds, and light showers, making comfortable walking shoes and layered clothing essential.

Helsinki, Finland: Helsinki remains crisp in May, with average temperatures near 60°F during the day and 41°F overnight. Long daylight hours are ideal for sightseeing, though breezes near the waterfront can make it feel cooler.

Tallinn, Estonia: Tallinn is typically cool and fresh, averaging 59°F in the daytime and 41°F at night. Guests should plan for possible showers and wear layers for walking through the historic old town.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack 3 main colors and accessories. Opt for bright, cheerful colors to blend in more easily with local fashion in the Caribbean and on a luxury cruise ship with exotic nights.

Evenings Aboard Apex:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Currency Summary

This 13-night Celebrity Apex itinerary includes ports in England, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, and Norway. Southampton uses the British pound (GBP); Copenhagen uses the Danish krone (DKK); Helsinki and Tallinn use the euro (EUR); Stockholm and Visby use the Swedish krona (SEK); and Oslo and Kristiansand use the Norwegian krone (NOK).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as card and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout Scandinavia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet. Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for public transportation, small vendors, restrooms, or unexpected situations; U.S. dollars should no to be relied upon for everyday purchases in these ports.

Because the itinerary includes several currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each port, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses. Onboard purchases, such as specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services, and shore excursions, are charged to your Celebrity onboard account, so link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Onboard the ship, your credit card will be accepted to settle your bill onboard the ship, as well as in major shops and restaurants ashore. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account.

At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts.
