Explore this chic coastal town in the North Island and you’ll discover the land of the Māori. Sometimes called the New Zealand Riviera, downtown Tauranga offers galleries, shops, history, and a vibrant café and restaurant scene.  This port also serves as the ideal stop to visit Hobbiton.

Wellington, New Zealand  (7:00a-6:00p)
Wellington claims to be the coolest little capital in the world. Hike up through a large central park to Mount Victoria for 360-degree photo opps, the zoo has 100 species of animals, blocks west of the port, ride the iconic cable car up to beautiful Wellington Botanic Garden, with a cable car museum, observatory, and planetarium, catch a shuttle out to the Zealandia ecosanctuary, a project to restore 556 acres of bush, where you hike to the singing of native birds and so much more!

Christchurch, New Zealand  (7:00a-5:00p)
At the center of town is Christchurch Cathedral, a stunning example of Gothic Revival architecture. Opt for Waipara Wine Tasting, High Country Off Road exploration, tour the Southern Alps, visit the Canterbury Country Sheep Farm or ascend the Christchurch Gondola on your own with new friends. 

Dunedin, New Zealand  (7:00a-5:00p)
Here in this capital of architectural heritage, you might think your Dunedin cruise had taken you to Edinburgh. The architecture, scenery, and culture—if not the accents—borrow heavily from those in Scotland.

Dusky (8:30a-10:15a)
Steep cliffs that have been carved over centuries by dozens of waterfalls surround the largest and most complex of the many fjords along the New Zealand coast, Dusky Sound. It’s also a wildlife paradise, with seals and dolphins patrolling the water, and birds like broad billed prions, mottled petrels and sooty shearwaters floating on the overhead thermals.
Doubtful (11:45a-1:15p)
As cold mountain water cascades from the cliffs above Doubtful Sound, it creates an unusual phenomenon-a dual-layered marine ecosystem of fresh and saltwater. This serves as a playground for a number of species, including fur seals and two types of penguins – the fiordland crested and blue penguin.
Milford (5-6p)
As we sail into the narrow fjords of the Milford Sound, even your massive ship seems to shrink in comparison to the towering cliffs topped by lush mountain terrain. Situated within Fiordland National Park, this natural wonder is part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site and is protected by its natural geography, which makes it a haven for all types of wildlife.

A valid passport is required for this 10-night New Zealand cruise aboard Celebrity Edge, departing from Auckland, New Zealand and arriving in Sydney, Australia.

If you need to apply for or renew a passport, begin the process immediately. Passport processing times can change, and your passport must be available before you apply for any required travel authorization.

United States Citizens

U.S. citizens generally need electronic travel authorization to enter or transit through New Zealand and Australia, even when arriving by cruise ship. Singles Travel International has not included government or application fees for these authorizations in the tour package.

Travelers are responsible for confirming the latest requirements before departure. Approval of an electronic travel authorization does not guarantee entry; final admission is determined by the relevant border authorities.

Australia: ETA

U.S. passport holders traveling to Australia may be eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority, subclass 601, commonly called an ETA. The application must generally be completed through the official Australian ETA App on a compatible mobile device.

The Australian government currently lists a service charge of AUD 20 for an ETA application through the app. Fees and requirements may change before the November 2027 sailing, so verify the current amount when you apply.

Processing may be quick for many applicants, but some applications require additional review or information. Apply well before your trip and do not wait until embarkation or while traveling.

New Zealand: NZeTA

U.S. citizens may need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, or NZeTA, before traveling to New Zealand. Because this cruise departs from Auckland on November 21, 2027, travelers should obtain the required authorization before arriving in New Zealand and boarding Celebrity Edge.

The NZeTA application also includes the applicable International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, or IVL, when required. Fees and processing times may change before 2027, so check the official website at the time of application. Allow at least 72 hours for processing and apply earlier whenever possible.

Non-U.S. Citizens

Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for verifying the passport, visa and electronic travel authorization requirements that apply to their nationality for New Zealand and Australia. Requirements can differ based on citizenship, passport type, residency, immigration status and previous travel history.

Contact the appropriate embassies, consulates or official immigration websites well before departure. Singles Travel International cannot guarantee entry approval or provide immigration advice for every nationality.

Dual Citizens

If you hold dual citizenship or plan to travel with more than one passport, email service@singlestravelintl.com immediately so we’ll be able to review your booking information and help ensure that your travel documents are recorded correctly.

Use the same passport for airline check-in, cruise documentation, travel authorizations and border processing whenever required. Carry all passports that may be relevant to your journey.

We strongly recommend making paper and digital copies of your:

  • Passport identification page.

  • Australian ETA approval, if applicable.

  • New Zealand NZeTA approval, if applicable.

  • Driver’s license or government-issued photo identification.

  • Birth certificate, if relevant.

  • Travel insurance information.

  • Emergency contacts and important booking documents.

Keep copies separate from your original documents and store digital copies securely. Do not pack your original passport in checked luggage; keep it accessible during flights, transfers, hotel stays and cruise embarkation.

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to July 21, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After July 21, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.

When the cruise is canceled by the cruise line, you will generally be offered the option to move your reservation to another date without penalty, often with a perk. Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. We recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotels in Auckland and Sydney.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. Step 2: In Auckland, sign up for specialty dinners reservations when checking in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at our Welcome Event in the pre cruise hotel. Signing up early ensures that you have the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

Doubtful Sound, New Zealand: Doubtful Sound is typically cool and wet in November, averaging about 57°F (14°C) during the day and 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Even when temperatures are moderate, wind, rain and the ship’s movement can make outdoor viewing feel chilly; waterproof shoes and a hooded rain jacket are especially helpful.

Milford Sound, New Zealand: Milford Sound often has cool, humid and rainy conditions, with average daytime temperatures around 57°F (14°C) and evening temperatures near 45°F (7°C). Pack fleece or wool layers beneath a waterproof jacket, as rain and low cloud are common and can change quickly during scenic cruising.

Sydney, Australia: Sydney generally welcomes visitors with mild to warm late-spring weather, averaging approximately 75°F (24°C) during the day and 61°F (16°C) in the evening. Conditions are usually comfortable for sightseeing, although sunshine, wind or a brief shower are possible, so sunscreen, sunglasses, breathable clothing and a light evening layer are recommended.

Temperatures are historical averages and may vary during the 2027 sailing. Port calls and scenic-cruising schedules may change because of weather, safety or operational considerations. Celebrity Cruises confirms that specific ports and ship features are subject to change without notice.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kilos), for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

General Tips:
As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack 3 main colors and accessories. Choose comfortable, polished clothing in cheerful colors inspired by the South Pacific, and include lightweight layers for New Zealand’s changeable spring weather and warmer days in Sydney.

Evenings Aboard Edge:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • All members are encouraged to embrace the fun and dress up for these special nights. Going all out not only creates fantastic photo opportunities but also allows you to unwind and express yourself in any way you choose!
    • Our Singles Travel International Concierge will update members on the chat within 90 days prior to departure.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Packing Tips

Evenings aboard Celebrity Edge feel cool because of air conditioning, especially in the Theatre, restaurants and lounges. Bring a light cardigan, wrap or casual jacket if you tend to get cold easily. You may also want a warmer layer for open-deck viewing during the scenic cruising of Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound.

Pack only what you need and avoid overpacking. Save room for New Zealand and Australian souvenirs, local purchases and special finds. Choose versatile pieces that mix and match, pack clothing flat and full to help reduce wrinkles, and use packing cubes to keep your luggage organized.

There are 2 primary currencies for our cruise: the New Zealand dollar (NZD), while Sydney uses the Australian dollar (AUD).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as credit cards and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout New Zealand and Australia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet.

Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for markets, small vendors, public transportation, restrooms or unexpected situations. New Zealand dollars should be used in New Zealand, and Australian dollars should be used in Sydney; U.S. dollars should not be relied upon for everyday purchases in these destinations.

Because this itinerary uses two currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each country, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses.

Onboard purchases—including specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services and shore excursions—are charged to your Celebrity onboard account. Link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Your credit card may also be accepted at major shops and restaurants ashore, although smaller businesses, markets and vendors may have different payment preferences.

All onboard purchases are recorded on a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total statement that can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card.

Steep cliffs that have been carved over centuries by dozens of waterfalls surround the largest and most complex of the many fjords along the New Zealand coast, Dusky Sound. It’s also a wildlife paradise, with seals and dolphins patrolling the water, and birds like broad billed prions, mottled petrels and sooty shearwaters floating on the overhead thermals.

As cold mountain water cascades from the cliffs above Doubtful Sound, it creates an unusual phenomenon-a dual-layered marine ecosystem of fresh and saltwater. This serves as a playground for a number of species, including fur seals and two types of penguins – the fiordland crested and blue penguin.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. A valid passport is required for this 10-night New Zealand cruise aboard Celebrity Edge, departing from Auckland, New Zealand and arriving in Sydney, Australia.

Before traveling, confirm that your passport is valid for the entire trip and meets the entry requirements of both New Zealand and Australia. Many travelers are advised to have at least six months of passport validity remaining beyond their planned travel; however, passport rules vary by nationality, so verify the current requirements with the appropriate government authorities and Celebrity Cruises. You may review general cruise travel-document information here and U.S. passport information through the U.S. Department of State.

If you need to apply for or renew a passport, begin the process immediately. Passport processing times can change, and your passport must be available before you apply for any required travel authorization.

United States Citizens

U.S. citizens generally need electronic travel authorization to enter or transit through New Zealand and Australia, even when arriving by cruise ship. Singles Travel International has not included government or application fees for these authorizations in the tour package.

Travelers are responsible for confirming the latest requirements before departure. Approval of an electronic travel authorization does not guarantee entry; final admission is determined by the relevant border authorities.

Australia: ETA

U.S. passport holders traveling to Australia may be eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority, subclass 601, commonly called an ETA. The application must generally be completed through the official Australian ETA App on a compatible mobile device.

Apply only through official Australian government resources:

The Australian government currently lists a service charge of AUD 20 for an ETA application through the app. Fees and requirements may change before the November 2027 sailing, so verify the current amount when you apply.

Processing may be quick for many applicants, but some applications require additional review or information. Apply well before your trip and do not wait until embarkation or while traveling.

New Zealand: NZeTA

U.S. citizens may need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, or NZeTA, before traveling to New Zealand. Because this cruise departs from Auckland on November 21, 2027, travelers should obtain the required authorization before arriving in New Zealand and boarding Celebrity Edge.

Apply through the official New Zealand government website or app:

The NZeTA application also includes the applicable International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, or IVL, when required. Fees and processing times may change before 2027, so check the official website at the time of application. Allow at least 72 hours for processing and apply earlier whenever possible.

Non-U.S. Citizens

Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for verifying the passport, visa and electronic travel authorization requirements that apply to their nationality for New Zealand and Australia. Requirements can differ based on citizenship, passport type, residency, immigration status and previous travel history.

Dual Citizens

If you hold dual citizenship or plan to travel with more than one passport, email service@singlestravelintl.com immediately so we’ll be able to review your booking information and help ensure that your travel documents are recorded correctly.

Use the same passport for airline check-in, cruise documentation, travel authorizations and border processing whenever required. Carry all passports that may be relevant to your journey.

We strongly recommend making paper and digital copies of your:

  • Passport identification page.

  • Australian ETA approval, if applicable.

  • New Zealand NZeTA approval, if applicable.

  • Driver’s license or government-issued photo identification.

  • Birth certificate, if relevant.

  • Travel insurance information.

  • Emergency contacts and important booking documents.

Keep copies separate from your original documents and store digital copies securely. Do not pack your original passport in checked luggage; keep it accessible during flights, transfers, hotel stays and cruise embarkation.

Singles Travel International does not include passport, visa, ETA, NZeTA, IVL or other government application fees unless specifically stated in your reservation documents. Cruise itineraries, ports and entry procedures may also change because of weather, safety, health, operational or government requirements.

A deposit is due at time of reservation, and final payment is due on July 21, 2027.

If you make a reservation after July 21, 2027, full payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to July 21, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After July 21, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.

When the cruise is canceled by the cruise line, you will generally be offered the option to move your reservation to another date without penalty, often with a perk. All changes are subject to current terms and conditions at the time of cancellation. Your team at Singles Travel International will advocate for you in all cases.

By booking a trip with us, you agree to sign a Fit & Willing to Travel Commitment, Participant Conduct, and Waiver as part of your registration. This commitment confirms your agreement to comply with all applicable local laws and follow the instructions of our tour leaders concerning health, safety measures and appropriate behaviors to ensure a respectful and secure environment for all travelers.

Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand the risks and that you do not have any medical, mobility, or other conditions that would make it unsafe for you to participate in the itinerary as described, or that would reasonably be expected to require special personal assistance that Singles Travel International does not provide.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. We recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotels in Auckland and Sydney.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. Prices range from $137 (3 Meals) to $201 (5 Meals) per person (subject to change at any time), plus gratuities. Specific surcharges may apply for certain restaurants and tasting menus.

Step 2: In Auckland, sign up for specialty dinners reservations when checking in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at our Welcome Event in the pre cruise hotel. Signing up early ensures that you have the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

Conditions may range from sunny and pleasant to breezy or rainy, so lightweight layers and a waterproof jacket are recommended for pre-cruise activities and embarkation.

Bay of Islands, New Zealand: The Bay of Islands is generally warm and comfortable in November, averaging approximately 67°F (19°C) during the day and 54°F (12°C) in the evening. Expect a mix of sunshine, clouds and occasional showers, with comfortable conditions for boat tours, coastal walks and sightseeing.

Tauranga, New Zealand: Tauranga usually experiences mild, partly sunny spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 67°F (19°C) and evening temperatures near 54°F (12°C). A light jacket may be useful near the waterfront, while comfortable walking shoes are ideal for shore excursions.

Wellington, New Zealand: Wellington is often mild, breezy and changeable in November, with average daytime temperatures around 63°F (17°C) and evening temperatures near 52°F (11°C). Wind can make the air feel cooler, particularly along the harbor, so pack a wind-resistant jacket and layers.

Christchurch, New Zealand: Christchurch typically has pleasant spring days averaging about 64°F (18°C) and cooler evenings near 48°F (9°C). The weather can shift quickly between sunshine, clouds and passing showers, making layers, a light sweater and a rain jacket useful for exploring the city or nearby attractions.

Dunedin, New Zealand: Dunedin is generally cool and changeable in November, with average daytime temperatures around 59°F (15°C) and evening temperatures near 46°F (8°C). Coastal breezes may make it feel cooler, so a warm layer and waterproof outerwear are recommended for outdoor excursions.

Dusky Sound, New Zealand: During scenic cruising in Dusky Sound, expect cool, damp and highly variable conditions, with temperatures near 57°F (14°C) during the day and approximately 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Rain is common in Fiordland, and mist can add to the dramatic scenery, so bring waterproof layers and warm clothing for viewing from open decks.

Doubtful Sound, New Zealand: Doubtful Sound is typically cool and wet in November, averaging about 57°F (14°C) during the day and 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Even when temperatures are moderate, wind, rain and the ship’s movement can make outdoor viewing feel chilly; waterproof shoes and a hooded rain jacket are especially helpful.

Milford Sound, New Zealand: Milford Sound often has cool, humid and rainy conditions, with average daytime temperatures around 57°F (14°C) and evening temperatures near 45°F (7°C). Pack fleece or wool layers beneath a waterproof jacket, as rain and low cloud are common and can change quickly during scenic cruising.

Sydney, Australia: Sydney generally welcomes visitors with mild to warm late-spring weather, averaging approximately 75°F (24°C) during the day and 61°F (16°C) in the evening. Conditions are usually comfortable for sightseeing, although sunshine, wind or a brief shower are possible, so sunscreen, sunglasses, breathable clothing and a light evening layer are recommended.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kilos), for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

General Tips:
As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack 3 main colors and accessories. Choose comfortable, polished clothing in cheerful colors inspired by the South Pacific, and include lightweight layers for New Zealand’s changeable spring weather and warmer days in Sydney.

Evenings Aboard Edge:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • All members are encouraged to embrace the fun and dress up for these special nights. Going all out not only creates fantastic photo opportunities but also allows you to unwind and express yourself in any way you choose!
    • Our Singles Travel International Concierge will update members on the chat within 90 days prior to departure.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Packing Tips

Evenings aboard Celebrity Edge feel cool because of air conditioning, especially in the Theatre, restaurants and lounges. Bring a light cardigan, wrap or casual jacket if you tend to get cold easily. You may also want a warmer layer for open-deck viewing during the scenic cruising of Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound.

Pack only what you need and avoid overpacking. Save room for New Zealand and Australian souvenirs, local purchases and special finds. Choose versatile pieces that mix and match, pack clothing flat and full to help reduce wrinkles, and use packing cubes to keep your luggage organized.

There are 2 primary currencies for our cruise: the New Zealand dollar (NZD), while Sydney uses the Australian dollar (AUD).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as credit cards and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout New Zealand and Australia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet.

Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for markets, small vendors, public transportation, restrooms or unexpected situations. New Zealand dollars should be used in New Zealand, and Australian dollars should be used in Sydney; U.S. dollars should not be relied upon for everyday purchases in these destinations.

Because this itinerary uses two currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each country, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses.

Onboard purchases—including specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services and shore excursions—are charged to your Celebrity onboard account. Link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Your credit card may also be accepted at major shops and restaurants ashore, although smaller businesses, markets and vendors may have different payment preferences.

All onboard purchases are recorded on a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total statement that can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card.

Steep cliffs that have been carved over centuries by dozens of waterfalls surround the largest and most complex of the many fjords along the New Zealand coast, Dusky Sound. It’s also a wildlife paradise, with seals and dolphins patrolling the water, and birds like broad billed prions, mottled petrels and sooty shearwaters floating on the overhead thermals.

As cold mountain water cascades from the cliffs above Doubtful Sound, it creates an unusual phenomenon-a dual-layered marine ecosystem of fresh and saltwater. This serves as a playground for a number of species, including fur seals and two types of penguins – the fiordland crested and blue penguin.

Dusky (8:30a-10:15a)
Steep cliffs that have been carved over centuries by dozens of waterfalls surround the largest and most complex of the many fjords along the New Zealand coast, Dusky Sound. It’s also a wildlife paradise, with seals and dolphins patrolling the water, and birds like broad billed prions, mottled petrels and sooty shearwaters floating on the overhead thermals.
Doubtful (11:45a-1:15p)
As cold mountain water cascades from the cliffs above Doubtful Sound, it creates an unusual phenomenon-a dual-layered marine ecosystem of fresh and saltwater. This serves as a playground for a number of species, including fur seals and two types of penguins – the fiordland crested and blue penguin.
Milford (5-6p)
As we sail into the narrow fjords of the Milford Sound, even your massive ship seems to shrink in comparison to the towering cliffs topped by lush mountain terrain. Situated within Fiordland National Park, this natural wonder is part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site and is protected by its natural geography, which makes it a haven for all types of wildlife.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

 

A valid passport is required for this 10-night New Zealand cruise aboard Celebrity Edge, departing from Auckland, New Zealand and arriving in Sydney, Australia.

Before traveling, confirm that your passport is valid for the entire trip and meets the entry requirements of both New Zealand and Australia. Many travelers are advised to have at least six months of passport validity remaining beyond their planned travel; however, passport rules vary by nationality, so verify the current requirements with the appropriate government authorities and Celebrity Cruises. You may review general cruise travel-document information here and U.S. passport information through the U.S. Department of State.

If you need to apply for or renew a passport, begin the process immediately. Passport processing times can change, and your passport must be available before you apply for any required travel authorization.

United States Citizens

U.S. citizens generally need electronic travel authorization to enter or transit through New Zealand and Australia, even when arriving by cruise ship. Singles Travel International has not included government or application fees for these authorizations in the tour package.

Travelers are responsible for confirming the latest requirements before departure. Approval of an electronic travel authorization does not guarantee entry; final admission is determined by the relevant border authorities.

Australia: ETA

U.S. passport holders traveling to Australia may be eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority, subclass 601, commonly called an ETA. The application must generally be completed through the official Australian ETA App on a compatible mobile device.

Apply only through official Australian government resources:

The Australian government currently lists a service charge of AUD 20 for an ETA application through the app. Fees and requirements may change before the November 2027 sailing, so verify the current amount when you apply.

Processing may be quick for many applicants, but some applications require additional review or information. Apply well before your trip and do not wait until embarkation or while traveling.

New Zealand: NZeTA

U.S. citizens may need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, or NZeTA, before traveling to New Zealand. Because this cruise departs from Auckland on November 21, 2027, travelers should obtain the required authorization before arriving in New Zealand and boarding Celebrity Edge.

Apply through the official New Zealand government website or app:

The NZeTA application also includes the applicable International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, or IVL, when required. Fees and processing times may change before 2027, so check the official website at the time of application. Allow at least 72 hours for processing and apply earlier whenever possible.

Non-U.S. Citizens

Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for verifying the passport, visa and electronic travel authorization requirements that apply to their nationality for New Zealand and Australia. Requirements can differ based on citizenship, passport type, residency, immigration status and previous travel history.

Contact the appropriate embassies, consulates or official immigration websites well before departure. Singles Travel International cannot guarantee entry approval or provide immigration advice for every nationality.

Dual Citizens

If you hold dual citizenship or plan to travel with more than one passport, email service@singlestravelintl.com immediately so we’ll be able to review your booking information and help ensure that your travel documents are recorded correctly.

Use the same passport for airline check-in, cruise documentation, travel authorizations and border processing whenever required. Carry all passports that may be relevant to your journey.

Document Copies

We strongly recommend making paper and digital copies of your:

  • Passport identification page.

  • Australian ETA approval, if applicable.

  • New Zealand NZeTA approval, if applicable.

  • Driver’s license or government-issued photo identification.

  • Birth certificate, if relevant.

  • Travel insurance information.

  • Emergency contacts and important booking documents.

Keep copies separate from your original documents and store digital copies securely. Do not pack your original passport in checked luggage; keep it accessible during flights, transfers, hotel stays and cruise embarkation.

Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. We recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotels in Auckland and Sydney.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. Conditions may range from sunny and pleasant to breezy or rainy, so lightweight layers and a waterproof jacket are recommended for pre-cruise activities and embarkation.

Bay of Islands, New Zealand: The Bay of Islands is generally warm and comfortable in November, averaging approximately 67°F (19°C) during the day and 54°F (12°C) in the evening. Expect a mix of sunshine, clouds and occasional showers, with comfortable conditions for boat tours, coastal walks and sightseeing.

Tauranga, New Zealand: Tauranga usually experiences mild, partly sunny spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 67°F (19°C) and evening temperatures near 54°F (12°C). A light jacket may be useful near the waterfront, while comfortable walking shoes are ideal for shore excursions.

Wellington, New Zealand: Wellington is often mild, breezy and changeable in November, with average daytime temperatures around 63°F (17°C) and evening temperatures near 52°F (11°C). Wind can make the air feel cooler, particularly along the harbor, so pack a wind-resistant jacket and layers.

Christchurch, New Zealand: Christchurch typically has pleasant spring days averaging about 64°F (18°C) and cooler evenings near 48°F (9°C). The weather can shift quickly between sunshine, clouds and passing showers, making layers, a light sweater and a rain jacket useful for exploring the city or nearby attractions.

Dunedin, New Zealand: Dunedin is generally cool and changeable in November, with average daytime temperatures around 59°F (15°C) and evening temperatures near 46°F (8°C). Coastal breezes may make it feel cooler, so a warm layer and waterproof outerwear are recommended for outdoor excursions.

Dusky Sound, New Zealand: During scenic cruising in Dusky Sound, expect cool, damp and highly variable conditions, with temperatures near 57°F (14°C) during the day and approximately 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Rain is common in Fiordland, and mist can add to the dramatic scenery, so bring waterproof layers and warm clothing for viewing from open decks.

Doubtful Sound, New Zealand: Doubtful Sound is typically cool and wet in November, averaging about 57°F (14°C) during the day and 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Even when temperatures are moderate, wind, rain and the ship’s movement can make outdoor viewing feel chilly; waterproof shoes and a hooded rain jacket are especially helpful.

Milford Sound, New Zealand: Milford Sound often has cool, humid and rainy conditions, with average daytime temperatures around 57°F (14°C) and evening temperatures near 45°F (7°C). Pack fleece or wool layers beneath a waterproof jacket, as rain and low cloud are common and can change quickly during scenic cruising.

Sydney, Australia: Sydney generally welcomes visitors with mild to warm late-spring weather, averaging approximately 75°F (24°C) during the day and 61°F (16°C) in the evening. Conditions are usually comfortable for sightseeing, although sunshine, wind or a brief shower are possible, so sunscreen, sunglasses, breathable clothing and a light evening layer are recommended.

Temperatures are historical averages and may vary during the 2027 sailing. Port calls and scenic-cruising schedules may change because of weather, safety or operational considerations. Celebrity Cruises confirms that specific ports and ship features are subject to change without notice.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kilos), for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack 3 main colors and accessories. Choose comfortable, polished clothing in cheerful colors inspired by the South Pacific, and include lightweight layers for New Zealand’s changeable spring weather and warmer days in Sydney.

Evenings Aboard Edge:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Packing Tips

Evenings aboard Celebrity Edge feel cool because of air conditioning, especially in the Theatre, restaurants and lounges. Bring a light cardigan, wrap or casual jacket if you tend to get cold easily. You may also want a warmer layer for open-deck viewing during the scenic cruising of Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound.

Pack only what you need and avoid overpacking. Save room for New Zealand and Australian souvenirs, local purchases and special finds. Choose versatile pieces that mix and match, pack clothing flat and full to help reduce wrinkles, and use packing cubes to keep your luggage organized.

There are 2 primary currencies for our cruise: the New Zealand dollar (NZD), while Sydney uses the Australian dollar (AUD).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as credit cards and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout New Zealand and Australia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet.

Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for markets, small vendors, public transportation, restrooms or unexpected situations. New Zealand dollars should be used in New Zealand, and Australian dollars should be used in Sydney; U.S. dollars should not be relied upon for everyday purchases in these destinations.

Because this itinerary uses two currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each country, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses.

Onboard purchases—including specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services and shore excursions—are charged to your Celebrity onboard account. Link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Your credit card may also be accepted at major shops and restaurants ashore, although smaller businesses, markets and vendors may have different payment preferences.

All onboard purchases are recorded on a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total statement that can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. Dusky (8:30a-10:15a)
Steep cliffs that have been carved over centuries by dozens of waterfalls surround the largest and most complex of the many fjords along the New Zealand coast, Dusky Sound. It’s also a wildlife paradise, with seals and dolphins patrolling the water, and birds like broad billed prions, mottled petrels and sooty shearwaters floating on the overhead thermals.
Doubtful (11:45a-1:15p)
As cold mountain water cascades from the cliffs above Doubtful Sound, it creates an unusual phenomenon-a dual-layered marine ecosystem of fresh and saltwater. This serves as a playground for a number of species, including fur seals and two types of penguins – the fiordland crested and blue penguin.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

 

A valid passport is required for this 10-night New Zealand cruise aboard Celebrity Edge, departing from Auckland, New Zealand and arriving in Sydney, Australia.

Before traveling, confirm that your passport is valid for the entire trip and meets the entry requirements of both New Zealand and Australia. Many travelers are advised to have at least six months of passport validity remaining beyond their planned travel; however, passport rules vary by nationality, so verify the current requirements with the appropriate government authorities and Celebrity Cruises. You may review general cruise travel-document information here and U.S. passport information through the U.S. Department of State.

If you need to apply for or renew a passport, begin the process immediately. Passport processing times can change, and your passport must be available before you apply for any required travel authorization.

United States Citizens

U.S. citizens generally need electronic travel authorization to enter or transit through New Zealand and Australia, even when arriving by cruise ship. Singles Travel International has not included government or application fees for these authorizations in the tour package.

Travelers are responsible for confirming the latest requirements before departure. Approval of an electronic travel authorization does not guarantee entry; final admission is determined by the relevant border authorities.

Australia: ETA

U.S. passport holders traveling to Australia may be eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority, subclass 601, commonly called an ETA. The application must generally be completed through the official Australian ETA App on a compatible mobile device.

Apply only through official Australian government resources:

The Australian government currently lists a service charge of AUD 20 for an ETA application through the app. Fees and requirements may change before the November 2027 sailing, so verify the current amount when you apply.

Processing may be quick for many applicants, but some applications require additional review or information. Apply well before your trip and do not wait until embarkation or while traveling.

New Zealand: NZeTA

U.S. citizens may need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority, or NZeTA, before traveling to New Zealand. Because this cruise departs from Auckland on November 21, 2027, travelers should obtain the required authorization before arriving in New Zealand and boarding Celebrity Edge.

Apply through the official New Zealand government website or app:

The NZeTA application also includes the applicable International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, or IVL, when required. Fees and processing times may change before 2027, so check the official website at the time of application. Allow at least 72 hours for processing and apply earlier whenever possible.

Non-U.S. Citizens

Non-U.S. citizens are responsible for verifying the passport, visa and electronic travel authorization requirements that apply to their nationality for New Zealand and Australia. Requirements can differ based on citizenship, passport type, residency, immigration status and previous travel history.

Contact the appropriate embassies, consulates or official immigration websites well before departure. Singles Travel International cannot guarantee entry approval or provide immigration advice for every nationality.

Dual Citizens

If you hold dual citizenship or plan to travel with more than one passport, email service@singlestravelintl.com immediately so we’ll be able to review your booking information and help ensure that your travel documents are recorded correctly.

Use the same passport for airline check-in, cruise documentation, travel authorizations and border processing whenever required. Carry all passports that may be relevant to your journey.

Document Copies

We strongly recommend making paper and digital copies of your:

  • Passport identification page.

  • Australian ETA approval, if applicable.

  • New Zealand NZeTA approval, if applicable.

  • Driver’s license or government-issued photo identification.

  • Birth certificate, if relevant.

  • Travel insurance information.

  • Emergency contacts and important booking documents.

Keep copies separate from your original documents and store digital copies securely. Do not pack your original passport in checked luggage; keep it accessible during flights, transfers, hotel stays and cruise embarkation.

Singles Travel International does not include passport, visa, ETA, NZeTA, IVL or other government application fees unless specifically stated in your reservation documents. A deposit is due at time of reservation, and final payment is due on July 21, 2027.

If you make a reservation after July 21, 2027, full payment will be automatically charged at time of reservation and penalties will apply.

Check 
Contact our team at service@singlestravelintl.com and request the Pay-By-Check discount. Your final payment balance will be recalculated deducting the Pay-By-Check discount. Then be sure to mail your check with the revised balance total to our office so that it arrives by July 21, 2027, in order to secure your reservation and price.  Late payments will not be accepted.

In order to get the best value with Celebrity Cruises, we chose package rates that bear a $100 penalty imposed by Celebrity Cruises in the event of cancellation  before final payment. Our members save over $1,000 on their solo cabin cruise cost with this option.

  • After deposit and at any time of cancellation prior to July 21, 2027, your deposit amount of $1000 is non refundable, and will only incur the $100 fee imposed by Celebrity Cruises. The balance of your deposit will be issued as a Future Trip Credit that may be used toward any future Celebrity Cruises and Singles Travel International vacation within 1 year of cancellation, for travel at any time. No refund on any unused portions of the trip.
  • After July 21, 2027, up to the day of cruising, any cancellations or “no-shows” – 100% penalty.

Air packages and air tickets are subject to cancellation policies imposed by the airlines.

When the cruise is canceled by the cruise line, you will generally be offered the option to move your reservation to another date without penalty, often with a perk. Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand the risks and that you do not have any medical, mobility, or other conditions that would make it unsafe for you to participate in the itinerary as described, or that would reasonably be expected to require special personal assistance that Singles Travel International does not provide.

Your Singles Travel International Concierge will also offer Independent Meetups early morning in each port so that members without an excursion may connect and spend time exploring together.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin. Electrical current is 110, which is the US standard. We recommend bringing along a power strip so that you both may recharge phones, cameras and add additional items such as a curling iron.  A converter and adapter will be required at the hotels in Auckland and Sydney.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, generally served at 8:00 p.m., please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for several nights during the cruise. You may sign up for those options at the Welcome Meeting in London and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.  We recommend that you purchase a 3-5 night dining package from Celebrity to get a better value than paying a la carte onboard.

In addition to included dinners in the complimentary Cosmopolitan Restaurant each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard ship for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three to five meals (variable rates available when you log into your Celebrity account) and dine at different specialty restaurants (e.g. Fine Cut Steakhouse, Le Grand Bistro, Eden Restaurant, Raw on 5, Rooftop Garden Grill, and The Magic Carpet)  during our cruise. Prices range from $137 (3 Meals) to $201 (5 Meals) per person (subject to change at any time), plus gratuities. Specific surcharges may apply for certain restaurants and tasting menus.

Step 2: In Auckland, sign up for specialty dinners reservations when checking in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at our Welcome Event in the pre cruise hotel. Signing up early ensures that you have the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

Note: Reservations are not associated with any payment. Once onboard, you will need to pay using your Specialty Dining Package or pay as you go according to the cruise line’s terms.  Magic Carpet has its own set of reservation terms and may only be reserved once onboard, weather permitting.

November is late spring in New Zealand and late spring to early summer in Australia, so expect generally mild, changeable conditions, comfortable sightseeing temperatures, occasional showers and cooler evenings—especially in the South Island and around the fiords. The itinerary also includes two sea days after the Fiordland scenic cruising before arriving in Sydney.

Auckland, New Zealand: Auckland typically enjoys mild late-spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 68°F (20°C) and evening temperatures near 54°F (12°C). Conditions may range from sunny and pleasant to breezy or rainy, so lightweight layers and a waterproof jacket are recommended for pre-cruise activities and embarkation.

Bay of Islands, New Zealand: The Bay of Islands is generally warm and comfortable in November, averaging approximately 67°F (19°C) during the day and 54°F (12°C) in the evening. Expect a mix of sunshine, clouds and occasional showers, with comfortable conditions for boat tours, coastal walks and sightseeing.

Tauranga, New Zealand: Tauranga usually experiences mild, partly sunny spring weather, with average daytime temperatures around 67°F (19°C) and evening temperatures near 54°F (12°C). A light jacket may be useful near the waterfront, while comfortable walking shoes are ideal for shore excursions.

Wellington, New Zealand: Wellington is often mild, breezy and changeable in November, with average daytime temperatures around 63°F (17°C) and evening temperatures near 52°F (11°C). Wind can make the air feel cooler, particularly along the harbor, so pack a wind-resistant jacket and layers.

Christchurch, New Zealand: Christchurch typically has pleasant spring days averaging about 64°F (18°C) and cooler evenings near 48°F (9°C). The weather can shift quickly between sunshine, clouds and passing showers, making layers, a light sweater and a rain jacket useful for exploring the city or nearby attractions.

Dunedin, New Zealand: Dunedin is generally cool and changeable in November, with average daytime temperatures around 59°F (15°C) and evening temperatures near 46°F (8°C). Coastal breezes may make it feel cooler, so a warm layer and waterproof outerwear are recommended for outdoor excursions.

Dusky Sound, New Zealand: During scenic cruising in Dusky Sound, expect cool, damp and highly variable conditions, with temperatures near 57°F (14°C) during the day and approximately 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Rain is common in Fiordland, and mist can add to the dramatic scenery, so bring waterproof layers and warm clothing for viewing from open decks.

Doubtful Sound, New Zealand: Doubtful Sound is typically cool and wet in November, averaging about 57°F (14°C) during the day and 45°F (7°C) in the evening. Even when temperatures are moderate, wind, rain and the ship’s movement can make outdoor viewing feel chilly; waterproof shoes and a hooded rain jacket are especially helpful.

Milford Sound, New Zealand: Milford Sound often has cool, humid and rainy conditions, with average daytime temperatures around 57°F (14°C) and evening temperatures near 45°F (7°C). Pack fleece or wool layers beneath a waterproof jacket, as rain and low cloud are common and can change quickly during scenic cruising.

Sydney, Australia: Sydney generally welcomes visitors with mild to warm late-spring weather, averaging approximately 75°F (24°C) during the day and 61°F (16°C) in the evening. Conditions are usually comfortable for sightseeing, although sunshine, wind or a brief shower are possible, so sunscreen, sunglasses, breathable clothing and a light evening layer are recommended.

Temperatures are historical averages and may vary during the 2027 sailing. Port calls and scenic-cruising schedules may change because of weather, safety or operational considerations. Celebrity Cruises confirms that specific ports and ship features are subject to change without notice.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag weighing up to 50 pounds (23 kilos), for a fee. In addition, you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the-minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

General Tips:
As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack 3 main colors and accessories. Choose comfortable, polished clothing in cheerful colors inspired by the South Pacific, and include lightweight layers for New Zealand’s changeable spring weather and warmer days in Sydney.

Evenings Aboard Edge:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (two nights on a 13‑night cruise):

    • All members are encouraged to embrace the fun and dress up for these special nights. Going all out not only creates fantastic photo opportunities but also allows you to unwind and express yourself in any way you choose!
    • Our Singles Travel International Concierge will update members on the chat within 90 days prior to departure.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. Packing Tips

Evenings aboard Celebrity Edge feel cool because of air conditioning, especially in the Theatre, restaurants and lounges. Bring a light cardigan, wrap or casual jacket if you tend to get cold easily. You may also want a warmer layer for open-deck viewing during the scenic cruising of Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound.

Pack only what you need and avoid overpacking. Save room for New Zealand and Australian souvenirs, local purchases and special finds. Choose versatile pieces that mix and match, pack clothing flat and full to help reduce wrinkles, and use packing cubes to keep your luggage organized.

For our  cruise, pack versatile layers for late-spring weather.  Comfortable clothing, supportive walking shoes, sun protection and waterproof outerwear are essential.

Clothing

  • 6–8 tops, including short- and long-sleeved options.

  • 3–4 pairs of trousers, travel pants or casual skirts.

  • 1–2 pairs of jeans or comfortable casual pants.

  • 1–2 pairs of lightweight shorts or warm-weather bottoms for Auckland and Sydney.

  • 1 light sweater, fleece or cardigan.

  • 1 warm mid-layer for windy coastal days and scenic cruising.

  • 1 waterproof or water-resistant jacket with a hood.

  • 1 compact umbrella or packable poncho.

  • 1–2 smart-casual outfits for dinners and evening entertainment.

  • 1–2 dressier outfits for specialty dining or elegant evenings.

  • Comfortable sleepwear and sufficient underwear.

  • 2 swimsuits, plus a cover-up, for the ship’s pool and wellness areas.

  • Workout clothing if you plan to use the fitness facilities.

  • Sun hat, sunglasses and other sun-protective clothing.

  • Lightweight scarf or wrap for cool evenings and air-conditioned areas.

Shoes

  • Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes with good traction.

  • Water-resistant walking shoes or boots for rainy port days.

Keep your passport, medications, valuables, travel documents, payment cards, chargers and one change of clothes in your carry-on bag—not in checked luggage.

  • Pain reliever, stomach remedies and allergy medication.

Travel Insurance is not mandatory, but, based on our experience, we highly recommend it. In addition to direct access immediately upon completing your purchase, you will receive a quote from Travel Guard regarding travel insurance after reserving your vacation.

When selecting a travel insurance policy, we recommend that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency evacuation and repatriation. We also strongly recommend that the policy cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.

There are 2 primary currencies for our cruise: the New Zealand dollar (NZD), while Sydney uses the Australian dollar (AUD).

Preparing Your Funds

Plan to use a Visa or Mastercard with no foreign-transaction fees for most purchases, as credit cards and contactless payments are widely accepted throughout New Zealand and Australia. Notify your bank and credit-card providers of your travel dates and destinations, confirm your daily withdrawal limits, and bring at least one backup card stored separately from your primary wallet.

Carry modest amounts of local cash—especially small denominations—for markets, small vendors, public transportation, restrooms or unexpected situations. New Zealand dollars should be used in New Zealand, and Australian dollars should be used in Sydney; U.S. dollars should not be relied upon for everyday purchases in these destinations.

Because this itinerary uses two currencies, avoid exchanging large amounts of cash in advance. Withdraw or exchange only what you expect to use in each country, select the local currency when a card terminal offers a choice of currencies, and keep receipts for tracking expenses.

Onboard purchases—including specialty dining, beverages, Wi-Fi, spa services and shore excursions—are charged to your Celebrity onboard account. Link a credit card before sailing and retain a small emergency cash reserve. Your credit card may also be accepted at major shops and restaurants ashore, although smaller businesses, markets and vendors may have different payment preferences.

All onboard purchases are recorded on a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total statement that can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item.
