Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

Click here for Singles Travel International’s secure booking form for a private transfer that you may purchase in advance. The estimated rate at time of trip launch was $136 USD.  Rate is subject to change.

The cost of a taxi from Haneda Airport to the Hyatt Regency Yokohama in October 2025 typically ranges from 7,500 to 10,000 yen (about $49 to $66 USD, using the current rate of 1 USD = 152.61 JPY) and the ride takes approximately 16 minutes. Actual fare may vary depending on traffic and time of day. Taxis remain a convenient, direct option, especially for those with luggage.

The most economical way to reach the Hyatt Regency Yokohama from Haneda Airport is by airport limousine bus, which costs about 600 to 900 yen ($4 to $6 USD) and takes roughly 28 minutes. The bus runs every two hours from Terminal 1 to the Osanbashi Pier Entrance. From there, it is about a 1.5-kilometer (0.93-mile) walk to the hotel, typically taking 15 to 20 minutes.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. Since 1993, we have been perfecting the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day.

From the moment you arrive at our pre Cruise hotel, our Singles Travel International Concierge is waiting to meet you at our Hospitality Desk or Welcome Event. Our first evening begins with a meet and greet and orientation.  We plan daily activities both onboard the ship as well as in each port. We dine together each evening in an open seating arrangement so that you have a chance to meet as many people as possible.

Our program for 50+ singles also includes an invitation to a private WhatsApp Group Chat where you may start meeting your fellow travelers and make new friends immediately.

In addition, we host a virtual Meet & Greet with your travel companions before you depart. You’ll receive automatic reminders via email and text for each event.

Be sure you opt in for all communications so that you don’t miss out on anything! Text YES to us at 833-479-1857 if you are not yet receiving our text message reminders.

Our affordable Premium Memberships allows solo travelers the ability to have Your Own Space™ for a lot less so that you never have to share. Review the special Premium Member Savings by clicking the ⓘ next to the “Add to Cart” button when searching your options on each trip page. You may join at the same time that you purchase your vacation or click here to learn more and purchase your membership.

Roommate matches are available by request if you already have a traveling companion. Contact us at 877-SOLO-TRIP to speak with one of our teammates to make your reservation.

Our vacations cater to singles in their 50s, 60s and 70s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the Singles Travel International Community on the private WhatsApp Group Chat once you receive the invite from the Get Ready email after you make your reservation. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation and to start making new friends.

Knowing who’s on the trip in advance makes socializing before and during your vacation easier and more fun.

Your Singles Travel International Concierge will also offer Independent Meetups early morning in each port so that members without an excursion may connect and spend time exploring together.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin.

Electrical current aboard Millennium is 110, which is the US standard.

Japanese Outlets:

  • Voltage Compatibility: Japan operates on a voltage of 100V at a frequency of 50/60 Hz, which is lower than the standard voltage in many countries (e.g., 120V in North America).
  • Usage: Most North American devices will work without an adapter if they have a two-prong plug, but three-prong plugs will require an adapter to fit into Japanese sockets.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve early (first) seating for the entire group for dinner. Early (first) dining is generally served at 5:30-6:00 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at late (second) seating, please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose early (first) seating and by selecting late (second) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for every night. You may sign up for those options once in Yokohama and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.

In addition to nightly included dinners at The Metropolitan main restaurant, there are several specialty dining experiences onboard Celebrity Millennium for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package via your My Celebrity Cruise Portal. The current price for a 3-meal package is $129 per person, plus a mandatory 20% gratuity, providing access to three different specialty restaurants such as Tuscan Grille, Le Petit Chef, and Sushi on Five. Packages for more meals are also available: four meals for $149 and five meals for $182 per person, plus gratuities. Additional surcharges apply for select venues and tasting menus.

Step 2: In Tokyo, sign up for specialty dinner reservations with your Singles Travel International Concierge during the Welcome Event at the pre-cruise hotel for the best chance to enjoy these experiences with other singles. Confirmation of your date, time, and restaurant will be provided onboard.

Note: No payment is associated with reservation sign-up. Upon boarding, pay using your Specialty Dining Package or opt to purchase meals individually, following Celebrity’s onboard terms.

Singles Travel International VIP reservations generally fall between 5:00-7:00 p.m. A Weekly Program will provide a Singles Only Dining & Show Schedule with details about singles-only dining activities. Restaurant availability can vary, and Singles Travel International cannot guarantee reservations. All prices are subject to change by the cruise line at any time.

View SPECIALTY DINNER menus so that you are informed before signing up.

Take a few minutes to plan your wardrobe for the cruise by visiting the following sites.

  • Average Temperatures: Expect daytime highs typically ranging from 22°C to 26°C (72°F to 79°F) in Tokyo and other Honshu regions at the start of autumn, with nights cooling to 15°C–20°C (59°F–68°F). If heading north (e.g., Hokkaido), temperatures may be cooler, while south (Okinawa) remains warmer.
  • Conditions: Mornings and evenings are pleasantly cool, afternoons are warm, and humidity begins to drop. September is Japan’s wettest month, so occasional rain or showers are likely—especially earlier in your trip. By early October, rain and typhoon risks decrease, and sunny days become more frequent.

Check out www.wunderground.com for up to date predictions as well as historical data for you destination,

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing up to 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

General Tips:
As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack layers with 3 main colors and accessories. Opt for simple, dark colors to blend in more easily with local fashion in Japan.  Dress modestly when visiting temples and shrines; avoid sleeveless tops and shorts.

For fall weather, layering is the key to comfort.  Start with pants and a few t-shirts, add a light sweater or sweat shirt and then a water/wind proof jacket with a hood, just in case. Comfortable walking shoes are a must with extra socks in case you get wet. Closed-toe shoes are advisable, particularly for temple visits.

Evenings Aboard Millennium:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (typically two nights on a 13-night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (typically two nights on a 13-night cruise):

    • All members are encouraged to embrace the fun and dress up for these special nights. Going all out not only creates fantastic photo opportunities but also allows you to unwind and express yourself in any way you choose!
    • Our Singles Travel International Concierge will update members on the chat within 90 days prior to departure.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Our Concierge Team will create several theme nights—costumes are encouraged but always optional. You’ll receive more details about each night’s theme closer to departure via chat and direct emails.

Packing Tips:

  • Pack light and leave space for souvenirs or purchases.
  • Choose wardrobe basics that mix and match, focusing on one or two color themes.
  • Roll clothing or use packing cubes to minimize wrinkles.
  • Avoid bringing valuables, perishable, or fragile items.
  • Attach an external luggage tag and place your contact info inside your bag.

Essential Items:

TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR THIS TRIP IS MANDATORY TO ENTER JAPAN.

As soon as you make a reservation with us, you’ll receive an email from quotes@TravelGuard.com regarding travel insurance.

When selecting a travel insurance policy, we recommend that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency evacuation and repatriation. We also strongly recommend that the policy cover personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects.

If you have any questions, Travel Guard professional, expert agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us, if you have not received your quote within 3 days, or CLICK HERE to go directly to Travel Guard and request a policy quote. It only takes a few minutes.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

The currency used throughout our cruise changes several times. You may obtain currency in advance at your local bank, exchange on arrival in London or aboard ship.

Japan: Yen (JPY)
South Korea: Won (KRW)

Exchange rates fluctuate often. You may find the current exchange rates in the financial sections of newspapers and on the Internet. You may also find a number of websites by typing “foreign exchange rates” in your search engine. We recommend www.xe.com.

For both countries, using ATMs for withdrawals generally yields the best rates compared to exchanging cash beforehand in the U.S. Always opt for local currency when given the choice during transactions to avoid unfavorable conversion rates both in cash and when using a credit card that does not charge international transaction fees. Check with your provider before leaving home.

Credit Cards: Your credit card will be accepted to settle your incidentals bill at all hotels and in major shops and restaurants. MasterCard and Visa are most widely accepted.

Aboard the ship, your credit card will be accepted to settle your onboard account in U.S. dollars. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, in U.S. dollars, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In an emergency after hours, please call 877-765-6874 and press 0 (zero). One of our team members will call you back as soon as possible.

We recommend that you meet the members of the Singles Travel International Community on the private WhatsApp Group Chat once you receive the invite from the Get Ready email after you make your reservation. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation and to start making new friends.  For the best results, join early, even if not intending to socialize right away, so that you have access to all of the conversations.

Knowing who’s on the trip in advance makes socializing before and during your vacation easier and more fun.

Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be sent to you via email 21 days prior to the trip start date.

Right before you depart, we host a virtual Meet & Greet with your travel companions and your personal concierge.

You’ll receive automatic reminders via email and text for each event.  Be sure you opt in for all communications so that you don’t miss out on anything!

Text YES to us at 833-479-1857 if you are not yet receiving our text message reminders.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website,  click here to learn more.

  • Comfortable, broken-in walking shoes for excursions and long ship corridors.
  • A dressier pair of shoes for specialty restaurants or unique events.
  • Evening attire: a warm shawl or wrap for women and a jacket/blazer for men; ships often have cool evening air conditioning.
  • Sunglasses, sunscreen (reef-friendly preferred), and a hat or visor.
  • Refillable water bottle and insulated coffee/tea mug for poolside or excursions.
  • All your daily toiletries; include travel-size hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.

  • Prescription medications: bring a full supply and keep them in original containers, in your carry-on.
  • Eyeglasses, reading glasses, contact lenses, and a copy of your prescription.
  • Small kit with over-the-counter remedies (pain relievers, antacids, cold medicine, motion sickness).
  • Mini first aid kit (bandages, antibacterial ointment, etc).
  • Travel alarm feature on your phone (most cabins no longer require a separate clock).

  • Secure, RFID-blocking wallet or crossbody bag for city visits.

Leave items like pocket knives or scissors in your checked luggage to comply with current airline/cruise security rules. For the latest electronics, policy updates, and destination-specific recommendations, check with your cruise line and your departure guide.

We are here to help make this a life-changing experience for each and every member who has entrusted us with their precious vacation time!

  • Power strip or USB charging hub (check your cruise line’s current policy on surge protectors; many allow USB-only).
  • Journal, notepad, or travel diary (paper or digital).
  • Chargers and backup batteries/power bank for devices.
  • International travel adapter (Japan uses Type A/B, 100V).
  • Secure, RFID-blocking wallet or crossbody bag for city visits.
  • Copies of important documents (passport, vaccine card, insurance) both printed and digital.
  • List of emergency contacts, access to your address book on phone, or pre-addressed stickers for postcards.
  • Optional: small sewing kit, travel stain remover, paperback or e-reader for downtime.
  • Camera or smartphone with extra storage/cards for photos—many excursions are photo-worthy!

Leave items like pocket knives or scissors in your checked luggage to comply with current airline/cruise security rules. For the latest electronics, policy updates, and destination-specific recommendations, check with your cruise line and your departure guide.

There are lots of activities from which to choose. Enjoy looking over the options, and share your ideas with your fellow cruisers on the Private WhatsApp Group Chat for BOOKED members ONLY.

This is your space to get to know one another and is not monitored by our team. If you have any questions regarding your cruise or the operations of the program, kindly email our Help Center service@singlestravelintl.com for the most prompt response.

We are here to help make this a life-changing experience for each and every member who has entrusted us with their precious vacation time!
