Extraordinary Port Visits in Italy, Croatia & Montenegro

Venice, Italy — Your Pre-Cruise Gateway
First,  arrive two nights early in Venice, one of the world’s most celebrated UNESCO World Heritage cities.  Drift past Gothic palaces on the Grand Canal, explore Piazza San Marco, and meet your fellow Croatian Riviera cruisers. Venice is not a layover; it is the overture to your exclusive Croatian Riviera luxury yacht singles cruise.

Rovinj, Croatia — The Jewel of Istria
Our first port is often called the most beautiful town on the Adriatic. Rovinj’s cobblestone lanes, pastel harbor, and hilltop Cathedral of St. Euphemia make it one of Croatia’s most sought-after towns. A local expert guide leads our included shore excursion through this remarkably preserved Venetian-era gem.

Zadar, Croatia — Ancient Walls, Modern Wonder
Next, we’ll visit one of Dalmatia’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Zadar rewards curious travelers with Roman ruins, medieval churches, and the globally acclaimed Sea Organ.  It’s an architectural marvel that literally turns the Adriatic’s waves into music. Our included guided excursion brings 3,000 years of history to life along these ancient stone streets.

Primošten, Croatia — Croatia’s Best-Kept Secret
Today, we’ll explore Primošten, perched on a small peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. We’re in for a treat in one of Dalmatia’s most picturesque and least-crowded towns. Indeed, its terraced vineyards, a medieval old town, and crystalline waters make Primošten a standout stop for returning Croatia travelers.

Split, Croatia — A Living Roman Palace
Remarkably, Split is built literally inside the walls of Roman Emperor Diocletian’s 4th-century palace. Marvel at this UNESCO World Heritage site where residents live, dine, and shop among 1,700‑year‑old Roman columns. Our local guide navigates this extraordinary living monument, one of Europe’s most remarkable urban heritage sites.

Hvar, Croatia — Glamour, Lavender & a Private Monastery Concert
Hvar ranks among the world’s most beautiful islands, blending Renaissance architecture, lavender fields, and sophisticated yachting culture. Our Singles Travel International group enjoys an exclusive private concert at a historic island monastery. Get ready for a singular, curated experience unavailable to independent travelers.

Korčula, Croatia — Birthplace of Marco Polo
Because we sail on a private yacht, we can access the legendary walled island town of Korčula.  The claimed birthplace of Marco Polo, Korčula is a superb example of Gothic‑Renaissance architecture on the Adriatic. Stroll narrow stone lanes, visit ancient churches, and taste local Pošip white wine at the source.

Mljet, Croatia — Croatia’s Greenest Island
Mljet is one of the Mediterranean’s most unspoiled islands, with dense forests and two striking saltwater lakes. The western portion is a protected national park, a serene counterpoint to glamorous Hvar and historic Dubrovnik.

Kotor, Montenegro — A UNESCO Walled City by the Sea
Because Montenegro is so close to Croatia, our visit includes the Bay of Kotor. Did you know that it is often described as southern Europe’s only fjord? This fortified medieval city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of remarkable integrity. Ancient Venetian walls climb steeply up limestone cliffs, framing an old town of churches, noble palaces, and lively stone piazzas.

Dubrovnik, Croatia — The Pearl of the Adriatic
We end our Croatian Riviera cruise on a high in Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic. Consistently ranked among the world’s top travel destinations, Dubrovnik truly needs little introduction. It’s gleaming limestone walls, baroque architecture, and azure Adriatic setting are instantly recognizable worldwide. Our local expert guide leads a private walk along the famous City Walls before our day concludes. End your vacation here or join your new friends for more adventures in Montenegro. Think wine tasting, culinary exploration and national park action!

Travelers must be generally mobile and able to manage their own luggage, embark and disembark vehicles or vessels using standard steps, and navigate uneven surfaces (such as cobblestones, inclines, or curbs) at a reasonable pace without assistance from Singles Travel International staff or fellow travelers.

You’ll be asked to confirm that you understand the risks and that you do not have any medical, mobility, or other conditions that would make it unsafe for you to participate in the itinerary as described, or that would reasonably be expected to require special personal assistance that Singles Travel International does not provide.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Statement

Singles Travel International, headquartered in the State of Florida, is committed to providing equal access to its services in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable state and local laws. Singles Travel International will make reasonable efforts to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities so they can participate in its travel programs, when such accommodations are requested in advance and do not fundamentally alter the nature of the services or create an undue burden. Members are encouraged to advise Singles Travel International of any disability-related needs or accommodation requests at the time of inquiry or booking so the company can evaluate options, work with suppliers where possible, and communicate clearly about any limitations inherent to the itinerary, destination infrastructure, or third-party services.

In situations where a participant’s current physical condition or behavior poses a significant risk of substantial harm to the participant or others that cannot be eliminated or reduced by reasonable accommodation (a “direct threat” under the ADA), Singles Travel International and its Tour Concierge or other representatives may, in their reasonable judgment, restrict or modify that participant’s involvement in specific activities to address the safety concern. Any such decisions will be made on an individualized basis, using current information and considering possible reasonable accommodations.

Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

Your airport transfer on arrival in Venice is included with your cruise package. Approximately 115 days prior to departure, you will receive our “Get Ready” email series with a link to the Fit & Willing to Travel Commitment form, where you will securely provide your flight details so we’re able to confirm your complimentary transfer. We kindly ask that you complete this step as soon as possible.

At the end of your journey, whether you depart from Dubrovnik or Montenegro, your Singles Travel International Concierge will assist you in arranging convenient shared transfers with fellow travelers, to be paid locally.

In order to accommodate singles from all over the world, our tours and cruises are priced as land/cruise only. Therefore, airfare is additional.  Singles Travel International has been a licensed ticketing agency since 1980 and has low negotiated fares, especially in Business Class.

You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

Since 1993, we have been perfecting the singles vacation experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day.

From the moment you arrive at our Pre Cruise Hotel, our Singles Travel International Concierge is waiting to meet you at our Hospitality Desk or Welcome Event. Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin aboard the Le Dumont d’Urville.

Le Dumont d’Urville offers 110V American outlets and 220V European outlets in the staterooms, so guests from North America can generally use devices without a separate voltage converter for dual‑voltage items.

Your Singles Travel International Concierge hosts our Breakfast Club™ mornings in Le Nautilus, the main panoramic restaurant, typically between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m., so you ease into the day over a relaxed buffet with fellow members and never worry about finding a friendly table.

Your Singles Travel International Concierge handles all dinner plans for our members in The Grill Restaurant, coordinating with Ponant’s open‑seating concept. We coordinate a relaxed group dinner time most evenings around 7:00–7:30 p.m., so you always have friendly faces at your table.

In Venice expect hot, humid summer weather with daytime highs in the low to mid‑80s°F and warm nights near 70°F. Light, breathable clothing and a sunhat are ideal.

Along the Dalmatian Coast days are typically sunny and warm, with highs in the mid‑80s°F and comfortable evenings in the mid‑60s to low‑70s°F. It’s classic beach‑and‑swim weather with warm Adriatic sea temperatures.

In Montenegro’s coast, plan for very warm days near the upper‑80s°F and pleasant nights around upper‑60s°F, with mostly dry, sunny conditions and warm sea water. A light layer for evening breezes is usually all you’ll need

Most airlines typically allow one checked bag up to 50 pounds for a fee, plus one carry-on bag and a personal item such as a purse or briefcase—please verify current airline policies for exact rules and fees.  There are no limitations for our program.

On Ponant’s exploration ships in the Mediterranean and along the Dalmatian Coast, the dress code is relaxed and resort‑elegant rather than traditionally formal. Daytime attire is resort casual—light, breathable pieces such as sundresses, capris, linen trousers, polos, and smart shorts, with swimsuits and cover‑ups reserved for pool and marina areas, plus comfortable walking shoes or sandals for excursions. Evenings on board are generally “elegant casual,” with dresses, skirts, or dressy tops and trousers for women, long trousers with a collared shirt for men, and no formal nights required, although a simple dress, wrap, or jacket is recommended for special events and cooler lounges.

Please note that casual wear such as shorts, t-shirts, casual jeans (frayed and/or with holes), baseball caps, flip-flops, and Crocs are not considered appropriate after 6:00 p.m. in all restaurants and lounges. Bathrobes and bathing suits are not appropriate in the ship’s restaurants and lounges, and shirts and shoes are required in all public areas at all times.

If you want to dress up and add a little glamour when you dine out, go for it. Singles Travel International members generally add a little class to any venue!  Daytime wear is casual and comfortable for touring/shopping.

Evenings aboard the ship are sometimes cool due to the air conditioning, so a cover-up is essential if you tend to get cold easily.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

  • Casual summer dresses or polos and linen pants for evenings.

  • One light sweater or wrap for breezy nights on deck.

Travel insurance is not required for entry into Italy, Croatia and Montenegro by U.S. citizens for short-term visits (less than 90 days). However, it is highly recommended since U.S. health insurance generally does not cover medical care abroad and travel insurance provides important protection for medical emergencies including evacuation.

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel protection to help safeguard their trip investment and cover unexpected events (such as medical emergencies, evacuation, trip interruption or cancellation, and lost or delayed baggage). After you reserve your vacation, you will receive information and a quote from Travel Guard regarding optional travel insurance; you may also obtain coverage from any licensed insurance provider of your choice. If you choose not to purchase travel insurance, you understand and agree that you are solely responsible for all expenses and logistical arrangements arising from any unforeseen circumstances during or related to your trip, and that Singles Travel International cannot serve as your insurance representative or claims liaison and will not be liable for such costs.

When selecting a travel insurance policy, we recommend, at a minimum, coverage for medical expenses (including emergency evacuation and repatriation), personal liability, trip cancellation and interruption, and loss or delay of luggage and personal effects. For questions about benefits, limitations, exclusions, or claims, please contact the insurance provider directly, as all coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the policy issued to you.

If you have any questions, Travel Guard professional, expert agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us, if you have not received your quote within 3 days, or CLICK HERE to go directly to Travel Guard and request a policy quote. It only takes a few minutes.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

The currency used in all 3 countries is the Euro. For up-to-date exchange rates, visit www.xe.com.

Ponant ships generally do not operate a full currency‑exchange desk, and euros cannot always be obtained on board, so it is advisable for members to bring some euros for use ashore and for any small onboard cash needs. We recommend $300-$500 in cash, 1 credit card and 1 debit card (for ATM withdrawal) to accommodate your needs on this program.

Although the Euro is the standard currency aboard Le Dumont d’Urville, you may pay for any onboard charges at the end of your cruise using a U.S. credit card (Visa®, Mastercard®, or American Express®).

Some credit card companies may charge small international transaction fees, so it’s best to check with your provider before leaving home.

Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site, 21 days prior to trip start date.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In an emergency after hours, please call 877-765-6874 and press 0 (zero). One of our team members will call you back as soon as possible.

Wi-Fi Access:
Ponant now offers free, unlimited Wi‑Fi access across its entire fleet, available in staterooms and public areas for all guests, regardless of cabin category.

The service is satellite‑based and is being upgraded using Starlink, which provides higher‑speed connections, even in more remote regions; performance is generally strongest in areas with good satellite coverage such as the Mediterranean.

In Venice, Croatia, and Montenegro, most hotels, cafés, and restaurants offer Wi‑Fi and the mobile networks along the Adriatic coast have strong 4G (and growing 5G) coverage, so many guests choose to supplement shipboard Wi‑Fi with their own international plan for reliable, high‑speed access ashore.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website, click here to learn more.

Group travel with Singles Travel International is active in nature and may involve walking tours, transfers, changes in elevation, and standing for periods of time. Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance. To help protect your safety and that of the group, you are requested to  understand and agree to the following.

Some activities and excursions on this tour require a moderate level of physical fitness, including the ability to climb stairs without assistance and to walk between 1 mile (approximately 2,500 steps) and 4 miles (approximately 10,000 steps) per day without needing to rest frequently.

All meet-up details will be provided in your Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information sent to you via email, 21 days prior to departure.

August 9, 2027 – Arrive by 3 p.m. into Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) to  join our 2 Night, Pre Cruise Package.

August 18, 2027 – Schedule your flight to depart from Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport (DBV) after 12:30 p.m.

August 22, 2027 – Schedule your flight to depart from Tivat Airport (TIV), Montenegro any time.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. In addition, save your boarding passes and the passenger receipt from your airline ticket. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

Our tour price does not include airfare, meals not specified in the itinerary, alcoholic beverages off the ship, or personal incidentals such as laundry and phone calls. Gratuities for local guides on tours not operated by the ship are also additional (suggested 10 USD per full day or 5 USD per half day, per person).

Since 1993, we have found that our Singles Travel International Concierge Team delivers the highest level of personalized service when they are rewarded directly by our delighted members. To recognize their efforts in making your vacation an exceptional experience, a gratuity of approximately 15 USD per day is recommended. You will have an opportunity to thank your Concierge at the end of your tour. While tipping is customary, gratuities are always at your discretion and are sincerely appreciated for a job well done.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group.

Our first evening begins with a meet and greet and orientation.  We plan daily activities both onboard the ship as well as in each port. We dine together each evening in an open seating arrangement so that you have a chance to meet as many people as possible.

Our program for 50+ singles also includes an invitation to a private WhatsApp Group Chat where you may start meeting your fellow travelers and make new friends immediately.  In addition, we host a virtual Meet & Greet with your travel companions before you depart. You’ll receive automatic reminders via email and text for each event.

Be sure you opt in for all communications so that you don’t miss out on anything! Text YES to us at 833-479-1857 if you are not yet receiving our text message reminders.

Our affordable Premium Memberships allows solo travelers the ability to have Your Own Space™️ for a lot less so that you never have to share. Review the special Premium Member rates on the Book Now page. You may join at the same time that you purchase your vacation or click here to learn more and purchase your membership.

Roommate matches are available by request if you already have a traveling companion. Contact us at 877-SOLO-TRIP to speak with one our teammates to make your reservation.

Our vacations cater to singles in their 50s, 60s and 70s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 50-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the Singles Travel International Community on the private WhatsApp Group Chat once you receive the invite from the Get Ready email after you make your reservation. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation and to start making new friends.

Knowing who’s on the trip in advance makes socializing before and during your vacation easier and more fun.

Clothing

  • Lightweight tops and shorts for daytime

  • Casual summer dresses or polos and linen pants for evenings.

  • One light sweater or wrap for breezy nights on deck.

  • Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers for cobblestones and tours.

  • Sandals or flip‑flops for the ship and beach days.

  • Swimsuits and a cover‑up for swimming and spa time.

Sun and Weather Protection

  • Sun hat or visor and quality sunglasses.

  • High‑SPF sunscreen and SPF lip balm (the sun is strong in August).

  • Light, packable rain jacket or small travel umbrella for the occasional shower.

Evening & Onboard Essentials

  • Smart‑casual outfit for dinners in the main restaurant.

  • Light scarf or shawl for air‑conditioned lounges and churches.

  • Small day bag or crossbody for shore excursions.

  • Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
  • Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
  • Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
  • Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, money or other anti-bacterial medication.

Nice‑to‑Have Extras

  • Reusable water bottle to stay hydrated in the heat.

  • Small pack of seasickness or motion‑comfort remedies, just in case.

  • Travel‑size laundry soap or stain stick for light hand‑washing.

  • Power strip to charge more than one item at a time. Only 1 US outlet in your cabin.

Singles Travel International staff are not personal caregivers and cannot provide continuous physical assistance.
