Singles Travel International is a vacation event company that plans singles events and markets our events at our expense to create a “singles only” experience. We do not allow guests to join the group unless the reservation has been made by Singles Travel International. Our policy is firm for tours and cruises, as well as pre and post trip hotel stays. Members and friends that “show up” will not be allowed to participate.

The cost of a taxi from Haneda Airport to the Hyatt Regency Yokohama typically ranges between 7,500 and 10,000 yen ($46-$66 USD) and takes about 16 minutes. This fare may vary based on traffic conditions and the time of day. Many travelers recommend taking a taxi for convenience, especially when carrying luggage, as it provides a direct and hassle-free transfer to the hotel.

The least expensive way to get from Haneda Airport to the Hyatt Regency Yokohama is by taking a bus, which costs approximately $4 to $6 and takes about 28 minutes. The bus departs from Haneda Airport Terminal 1 and arrives at Osanbashi Pier Entrance, with services operating every two hours. The distance from Osanbashi Pier Entrance to the Hyatt Regency Yokohama is approximately 1.5 kilometers (about 0.93 miles). This distance may be covered by a short walk, taking around 15 to 20 minutes.

Click here for an excellent resource on transportation between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and the Hyatt Regency Yokohama.  Whether you are a VIP or a thrifty traveler, you’ll find the best method to get to our hotel.

Please contact your preferred carrier directly to make your reservation. If Singles Travel International issues a promotional economy fare, granting of frequent flyer credit is entirely at the airline’s discretion. If the flights are eligible, to ensure you earn frequent flyer credit from the airline, give your frequent flyer account number when you check in for your flights. In addition, save your boarding passes and the passenger receipt from your airline ticket. You may need to submit these to the airline (not to Singles Travel International) to claim any credit allowed.

Our comprehensive program includes Unlimited Classic Beverage package and Unlimited Wi-Fi.

You are responsible for airfare, airport transfers in Tokyo (Haneda), shore excursions, casino gambling, shopping, and gratuities to your Singles Travel International Concierge ($15 per day recommended) and Celebrity Crew.

Of course not. You will be pleased to find out that nearly 90% of our guests on every cruise sign up and have never met anyone before joining the group. In 31 years, we have perfected the singles cruise experience. It is paramount that our guests meet each other right away and have opportunities to mingle every day.

From the moment you arrive at the pre cruise hotel, our Singles Travel International Concierge is waiting to meet you at our Hospitality Desk or Welcome Event.

Our first evening begins with a lively welcome-aboard cocktail party followed by daily activities both onboard the ship as well as in each port. We dine together each evening in an open seating arrangement so that you have a chance to meet as many people as possible.

Our affordable Premium Memberships allows solo travelers the ability to have Your Own Space™️ for a lot less so that you never have to share. Review the special Premium Member rates on the Book Now page. You may join at the same time that you purchase your vacation or click here to learn more and purchase your membership.

Roommate matches are available by request if you already have a traveling companion. Contact us at 877-SOLO-TRIP to speak with one our teammates to make your reservation.

Our vacations cater to singles in their 50s and 60s but you will often meet singles ranging anywhere from 45-75. We generally have a ratio of 60/40, women to men. As a travel club, matchmaking is not our focus. Ages listed on our page are not restricted. They are simply used as a guideline. We offer an opportunity for single travelers to see the world in the company of other singles and do not guarantee ratios or ages.

We recommend that you meet the members of the Singles Travel International Community online where you may view and interact with members via “Who’s Going” on every trip page. This is the best way to find out exactly who will be on your vacation.

We also invite you to join our 50+ singles community when you are not on the road, before and after your vacation @ www.SingleLife.Today. Membership and most events are free and when you upgrade to Premium, you’ll have access to our live, virtual tours to exotic locations plus save $1000s of dollars on Your Own Space™.

Yes! Singles Travel International is the only singles vacation company that features a travel community where members may send messages to one another at any time. Once you make a reservation, you are invited to post messages on the trip chat, which is great for finding out more about your fellow travel companions, coordinating taxi shares, setting up tours and more. Your trip chat is accessible from the trip page. Ask your Singles Travel International Reservation Guide for assistance.

Our program for singles also includes live online events and virtual tours plus a virtual Meet & Greet with your travel companions before you depart.

Let’s get started planning the fun that you’ll have on your cruise! Click here for a link to the Celebrity Cruises shore excursions for our journey. Log into your Celebrity account to reserve excursions for your cruise.

There are lots of activities from which to choose. Enjoy looking over the options, and share your ideas with your fellow cruisers on the Private All Singles “Trip Chat” for BOOKED members ONLY (on the website).

This is your space to get to know one another and is not monitored by our team. If you have any questions regarding your cruise or the operations of the program, kindly email our Help Center service@singlestravelintl.com for the most prompt response.

We are here to help make this a life-changing experience for each and every member who has entrusted us with their precious vacation time!

Your Singles Travel International Concierge will also offer Independent Meetups early morning in each port so that members without an excursion may connect and spend time exploring together.

Yes, there are hairdryers in each cabin.

Electrical current aboard Millennium is 110, which is the US standard.

Japanese Outlets:

  • Voltage Compatibility: Japan operates on a voltage of 100V at a frequency of 50/60 Hz, which is lower than the standard voltage in many countries (e.g., 120V in North America).
  • Usage: Most North American devices will work without an adapter if they have a two-prong plug, but three-prong plugs will require an adapter to fit into Japanese sockets.

All meals are served either buffet style in a restaurant located on an open deck such as the pool deck or full service in the main dining room at set times referred to as early and late (or first and second) seating. Singles Travel International hosts the Breakfast Club™ each morning in one of the 2 locations, which are determined via your Singles Travel International Concierge once onboard and advised to you each day via our weekly program.

We reserve late (second) seating for the entire group for dinner. Late (second) dining is generally served at 8:00 p.m. and varies by cruise line. If you desire to dine at early (first) seating, please let our reservation specialist know at the time of booking. Note that on most cruises, the majority of our guests choose late (second) seating and by selecting early (first) seating, you may be dining with a smaller group of our guests or perhaps none at all. All dining requests are confirmed once onboard, not in advance and are at the discretion of the cruise line.

In addition, there are a la carte and themed restaurants with and without a fee. Singles Travel International reserves tables of 8 for every night. You may sign up for those options and, therefore, enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles once onboard the ship.

In addition to included dinners in the main restaurant, The Metropolitan, each evening, we’ll have several specialty dining opportunities and experiences onboard the Millennium for an additional fee.

Step 1: Purchase a Classic Specialty Dining Package from your My Celebrity Cruise Portal for three meals ($129) and dine at three different specialty restaurants (e.g., Tuscan Grille, Le Petit Chef, and Sushi on Five) during our cruise. Additional Packages: Other options may include packages for 4 or 5 meals, with prices ranging from $45 to $75 per person, plus gratuities. Specific surcharges may apply for certain restaurants and tasting menus.

Step 2: In Tokyo, sign up for specialty dinners reservations when checking in with your Singles Travel International Concierge at our Welcome Event in the pre cruise hotel. Signing up early ensures that you have the best chance to enjoy these restaurants in the company of other singles, once onboard the ship. The actual date and time will be confirmed by your Concierge once onboard.

Note: Reservations are not associated with any payment. Once onboard, you will need to pay using your Specialty Dining Package or pay as you go according to the cruise line’s terms.

There is no baggage limit onboard ship.

Currently, most airlines will allow you to check one bag, weighing up to 50 pounds, for a fee. In addition you may carry-on one bag plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Please check with your air carrier for up-to-the minute regulations and fees for checked baggage.

General Tips:
As always, for traveling, we recommend that you pack layers with 3 main colors and accessories. Opt for simple, dark colors to blend in more easily with local fashion in Japan.  Dress modestly when visiting temples and shrines; avoid sleeveless tops and shorts.

For fall weather, layering is the key to comfort.  Start with pants and a few t-shirts, add a light sweater or sweat shirt and then a water/wind proof jacket with a hood, just in case. Comfortable walking shoes are a must with extra socks in case you get wet. Closed-toe shoes are advisable, particularly for temple visits.

Evenings Aboard Millennium:
Formal Night gets a modern luxury reboot. Say goodbye to Formal Night, and hello to Evening Chic. It’s your time to shine—your way. Get glamorous. Get chic. Be sophisticated. For up to two nights on every cruise, Evening Chic activities have been introduced, and Evening Chic attire has replaced Formal attire. While dressier than Smart Casual, Evening Chic is intended to be less dressy than Formal attire.

Smart Casual Nights (most nights):

    • Men: Long pants (no shorts), collared shirts, and smart jeans are acceptable.
    • Women: Dresses, skirts, stylish pants, or chic jeans with a nice top are appropriate.
    • Restrictions: Avoid tank tops, flip-flops, and beachwear during dinner.

Evening Chic Nights (typically two nights on a 13-night cruise):

    • Men: Cocktail attire such as dress shirts with slacks or designer jeans paired with a blazer. Ties are optional.
    • Women: Cocktail dresses, elegant tops with skirts or dress pants. Formal gowns are also welcome but not required.

Evening Theme Nights (typically two nights on a 13-night cruise):

    • All members are encouraged to embrace the fun and dress up for these special nights. Going all out not only creates fantastic photo opportunities but also allows you to unwind and express yourself in any way you choose!
    • Our Singles Travel International Concierge will update members on the chat within 90 days prior to departure.

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.

Our Concierge Team will create several theme nights and costumes are recommended, although optional. More information about themes will be disclosed closer to departure via our chat and direct emails from our Concierge Team.

Packing Tips: Take only what you need; don’t over pack. Save room for souvenirs and purchases. Pack flat and full to avoid wrinkling. Bring wardrobe basics; mix and match around one or two colors. Don’t pack anything valuable, fragile or perishable. Label your luggage with an outside tag, and place an identification card inside each suitcase.

Essential Items: We highly recommend that you bring the following items.

– A good, comfortable pair of broken-in walking shoes.
– A pair of shoes for restaurants (loafers, sandals, etc).
– Ladies will want to bring a nicer warm wrap and gentlemen a nicer jacket, for evening wear. Evenings aboard the ship are sometimes cool due to the air conditioning, so a cover up is essential if you tend to get cold easily.
– Sunglasses, sun block, sun hat or visor.
– Insulated Coffee-To-Go cup for more java to enjoy poolside.
– Toiletries: all your daily essentials.
– Power strip for all your gadgets – most cabins have only one outlet.
– Prescription medications: sufficient supply for the entire trip plus legible written prescription in case of loss. Keep medications in their original, labeled container. Always pack your medications in your carry-on bag!
– Eyeglasses, contacts, contact lens solution. You may want to bring along a written prescription for your eyewear in case of loss.
– Over the counter medications: cold remedy, aspirin/pain reliever, antacid/stomach upset remedy, Band-Aids, Neosporin or other anti-bacterial medication.
– Travel alarm clock with illuminated face, especially for guests in an inside cabin.
– Small, Swiss Army type utility knife. Remember to pack this in your checked luggage!
– Travel journal/notepad and reading material.
– Home address book (iphone/smart phone) for sending postcards. A useful tip to avoid bringing your entire address book is to pre-write names and addresses of people to whom you want to send postcards on sheets of self-adhesive labels. It saves time and space in your luggage.
– Small, basic sewing kit with a few extra buttons. Remember to pack scissors in your checked bag!
– Photography Equipment: Bring a sufficient supply of film and extra batteries. If you are bringing a digital camera, you should bring extra memory chips.

If you have any questions, Travel Guard professional, expert agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call us, if you have not received your quote within 3 days, or CLICK HERE to go directly to Travel Guard and request a policy quote. It only takes a few minutes.

The currency used throughout our cruise changes several times. You may obtain currency in advance at your local bank, exchange on arrival in London or aboard ship.

Japan: Yen (JPY)
South Korea: Won (KRW)

Exchange rates fluctuate often. You may find the current exchange rates in the financial sections of newspapers and on the Internet. You may also find a number of websites by typing “foreign exchange rates” in your search engine. We recommend www.xe.com.

For both countries, using ATMs for withdrawals generally yields the best rates compared to exchanging cash beforehand in the U.S. Always opt for local currency when given the choice during transactions to avoid unfavorable conversion rates both in cash and when using a credit card that does not charge international transaction fees. Check with your provider before leaving home.

Credit Cards: Your credit card will be accepted to settle your incidentals bill at all hotels and in major shops and restaurants. MasterCard and Visa are most widely accepted.

Aboard the ship, your credit card will be accepted to settle your onboard account in U.S. dollars. All onboard purchases are billed with a guest check and added to your personal shipboard account. At the end of the cruise, you will receive a total bill, in U.S. dollars, which can be paid with cash or charged to a credit card. If you are sharing with another guest, no worries. You will each receive a separate statement which may be reviewed at any time on your interactive TV in the cabin.

Your “Final Vacation Details & Meetup Information” including transportation and how to meet up with the group will be available on the YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS button on the left navigation bar on the trip site, 21 days prior to trip start date.

Questions and comments after you have reserved your vacation are addressed promptly when you send a message to us at service@singlestravelintl.com.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. In an emergency after hours, please call 877-765-6874 and press 0 (zero). One of our team members will call you back as soon as possible.

All countries you will visit have laws against the purchase and export of certain items, including antiquities, national cultural property and certain animal products, especially endangered species (ivory, rhino horn, tortoise shell, coral, feathers, etc.). Additionally, the United States has laws prohibiting the import of certain items, which include many of the same things. You face having your purchase confiscated and/or heavy fines for exporting or importing prohibited items.

On return to the U.S., your baggage is subject to search by U.S. Customs. Currently, you are permitted to bring back $800 of goods duty free. Persons aged 21 or over may also bring in one liter of liquor and one carton of cigarettes. If you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs or expensive items, it is important to retain all purchase receipts. However, please note that U.S. Customs may not accept a receipt as true cost if it seems unusually low for the estimated value of the item. You may access the regulations and restrictions governing US Customs on their official website,  click here to learn more.

Meet Your STI Concierge

Cory

Aloha! My name is Cory Montee and I am honored to be your Tour Concierge with Singles Travel International.

As a child, I was blessed to be part of a family that loved to explore the World. Soon after graduating from the University of Missouri, I set out to complete a long list of destinations that fascinated me.

After almost three decades of employment on various luxury cruise lines and travel companies, two dogs and a parrot, a few of my favorite adventures include the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Alaska and the South Pacific.

Expanding my knowledge of other cultures is always important but I love sharing past experiences with others most. There is so much out there!

I currently reside in Hawaii and enjoy scuba diving, camping and a good game of Scrabble.
