Beautiful Historic South Singles Cruise!

Our singles cruise on American Cruise Lines through the Historic South started in Charleston, South Carolina. We stayed right in the heart of the historic district filled with restaurants and shopping. Our first night we had an exclusive dinner just for our group in a private room at a restaurant called Bedford Falls. This adorable restaurant was so cute and decorated with photos and pictures of the classic film, It’s a Wonderful Life starring Jimmy Stewart. It was so much fun to make new friends in a wonderful surrounding!

The next day, we started our cruise down south. Our ship was the American Independence, a small and lovely ship. We were treated to a very friendly crew, fabulous food and drinks. Every night, we had an included happy hour with premium liquor and delicious hors d’oeuvres before enjoying a gourmet meal.

We had two exclusive Singles Travel International Shore Excursions that were so much fun for the whole group! We had a horse drawn carriage ride in Beaufort, Georgia where we were enchanted by the beautiful gingerbread Victorian houses. We also had an exclusive walking tour in Savannah, Georgia and learned the incredible history of the area.

Our exclusive theme night, Southern Grace and Charm was so much fun! We dressed in our finest southern manners and outfits. We sang, ate and enjoyed the beautiful full moon of the night on the water.

Snacks and drinks were always available 24 hours in the lounge. Other ports included Hilton Head, Jekyll Island, and finally Amelia Island, Florida.

It was hard to say goodbye to such a beautiful cruise! Exploring America with fellow single Americans was a special memory that we will never forget! We were able to relax and see the beauty of our country. Many friends were made. We hope to see you next time on one of our cruises or tours!!
