There is nothing quite like escaping the winter chill for the warm, vibrant islands of the Caribbean! Our latest Singles Travel International adventure brought together an incredible group of solo travelers over 50 for an 8-night journey aboard Celebrity Cruises.

 

From the very first day, it was clear this was going to be a special trip. We weren’t just visiting beautiful destinations; we were building a community at sea, sharing laughs, exploring new cultures, and returning home completely renewed and refreshed.

Here is a look back at our unforgettable Caribbean getaway!

Kicking Things Off in Fort Lauderdale

The vacation started before we even stepped foot on the ship! We gathered for a pre-night stay in Fort Lauderdale, kicking things off with a fantastic Welcome Happy Hour. It was the perfect opportunity to break the ice, meet fellow travelers, and start forming the friendships that would grow throughout the week. By the time we boarded the ship the next morning, we already felt like a family!

Island Hopping and Unforgettable Excursions

Our itinerary was packed with incredible ports of call, offering a perfect mix of culture, shopping, and relaxation:

Philipsburg, St. Maarten: We didn’t let a little “liquid sunshine” slow us down! Our group made the most of the day, dodging raindrops to explore the famous duty-free shops and enjoy the local boardwalk spot.

Antigua: The sun came out in full force! We spent a glorious day exploring the island, relaxing by the pool, and enjoying our favorite Singles Travel International tradition: Happy Hour on the top deck at sunset.

San Juan, Puerto Rico: A beautiful day taking in the history and vibrant culture of the city.

 

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic: A true visual treat! We strolled through the stunning Umbrella Alley (Paseo de Doña Blanca), soaking up the colorful atmosphere and snapping some fantastic group photos.

Exclusive Singles Travel International Events & Onboard Fun

Traveling with Singles Travel International means you always have a dedicated community and exclusive activities to choose from. Our sea days and evenings were packed with fun!

We hosted private Singles Travel International events like spirited games of Pictionary, engaging Trivia sessions, and friendly Card Games. We also went all out for our Captain’s Theme Night, dressing in our nautical best before dancing the night away.

When we weren’t at our private events, we were enjoying the ship’s fantastic entertainment. From tasting the variety of drinks at the Martini Bar to rocking out at a high-energy Rock Music show and singing along to a brilliant Elton John tribute, there was never a dull moment.

Culinary Delights & Birthday Celebrations

You can’t talk about a cruise without mentioning the food! Every evening, our group gathered at our reserved tables in the main dining room. These dinners were the heartbeat of the trip—a time to share stories from the day, enjoy gourmet meals, and even celebrate a few special birthdays with songs and cake from the incredible dining room crew.

We also treated ourselves to the Specialty Dining Rooms. A major highlight was dinner at Le Petit Chef. It was truly dinner and a show, as we watched a 3D animated cartoon character “prepare” our meals right on our plates!

Until the Next Adventure

Our trip came to a close with a spectacular, peaceful sunrise over Fort Lauderdale as we pulled back into port.

Saying goodbye is always the hardest part, but everyone left feeling refreshed, recharged, and most importantly, with a wonderful new group of friends. That is the magic of traveling the world together!
